"Sonic Mega Collection" and a new "Sonic Adventure" game announced for Nintendo GameCube; "Sonic Advance 2" announced for GameBoy Advance

Tokyo, Japan (July 1, 2002) - SEGA(R) Corporation (Headquarters: Tokyo, Japan; CEO Hideki Sato) today announced that "Sonic Adventure(TM) 2 Battle" for Nintendo GameCube(TM) and "Sonic Advance(TM)" for GameBoy(R) Advance have each shipped one million units worldwide respectively since their initial retail debuts beginning December 2001 in Japan, February, 2002 in the U.S. and March 2002 in Europe. Building upon the global success of the Sonic The Hedgehog(R) series, the company also announced three new Sonic The Hedgehog titles including "Sonic Mega Collection(TM)" and a new "Sonic Adventure(TM)" game for Nintendo GameCube and Sonic Advance(TM) 2" for GameBoy Advance.

"Building upon the excellent worldwide sales and incredible success of ´Sonic Adventure 2 Battle´ and ´Sonic Advance,´ SEGA is determined to develop and release new titles in the Sonic The Hedgehog series that will appeal to the growing audience of gamers worldwide," said Tetsu Kayama, Chief Operating Officer, SEGA Corporation.

The Sonic The Hedgehog series began in 1991 with the release of "Sonic The Hedgehog(R)" on SEGA Genesis(TM). The game quickly became a global hit selling more than 4 million units worldwide. Over the years, Sonic The Hedgehog has been featured in more than 11 games on multiple SEGA gaming platforms including SEGA Genesis, SEGA Game Gear(TM), Pico(TM), SEGA Saturn(TM) and SEGA Dreamcast(TM). Most recently, the series continued with "Sonic Adventure 2 Battle" for Nintendo GameCube and "Sonic Advance" for GameBoy Advance, the first titles to utilize the Nintendo GameCube/GameBoy Advance Link Cable. In just over 10 years, Sonic The Hedgehog has become one of the most beloved and recognized video game characters of all time and the series has sold over 27 million units worldwide.

Further details on "Sonic Mega Collection," the new "Sonic Adventure" game and "Sonic Advance 2" will be announced at a later date.

Ils disent bien "a new Sonic Adventure game"!
Ca déchire tout yessssssss!

Sa pour une bonne nouvelle c yne bonne nouvelle lol
et oui un sonic exclusif pour la cibe mouahahaha

en gros ils disent au début qu´il yaura 3 new sonic, un sonic advance 2 sur gba, un sonic collectore et un nouveau sonic battle adventure
Ensuite ils expliquent que sonic advance et sonic battle 2 se sont vendus à 1 millions d´exemplaire chacun dans le monde, c ´est pourkoi qu´ils les refont sortirs sur nintendo
ensuite ils expliqent en qq lignes les sonic (depuis 1991 sur genesis) jusqu´à celui sortie sur cube, et ils redisent qu´un NEW sonic, un sonic collectore et un sonic advance sortiront EXCLUSIVEMENT pour NINTENDO !
Apres ils redisent bien fort qu´ils sont et veulent etre le 1 editeurs tiers (ils donnent des chifrres sega of america etc) et qu´ils dévellopent des jeux tte les consolles pour arriver à leurs butes, (enfin je croit qu´ils disent qu´ils sont 1er et veulent le rester enfin lol peu importe)

July 01, 2002 - Publisher and developer Sega announced today that it has shipped one million units of Sonic Adventure 2 Battle for Nintendo´s next-generation console worldwide. The company also revealed that it is underway with two new GameCube Sonic titles including another in the Sonic Adventure series and Sonic Mega Collection. The firm will also release Sonic Advance 2 for Game Boy Advance, it noted.
"Building upon the excellent worldwide sales and incredible success of ´Sonic Adventure 2 Battle´ and ´Sonic Advance,´ Sega is determined to develop and release new titles in the Sonic The Hedgehog series that will appeal to the growing audience of gamers worldwide," said Tetsu Kayama, Chief Operating Officer, Sega Corporation.

Sega said that further details regarding both GameCube titles would be announced at a later date.

It seems logical to assume, though, that the next installment in the Sonic Adventure series will carry along the traditional play mechanics and style of past entries. Additionally, it seems that Sonic Mega Collection could be a compilation of classic Sonic games rolled into one massive package. Great news for GameCube owners on both fronts.

Apres si vs saviez lire, dans les sites comme game kult, ou overgame, ils disent que sa sera Sonic 1er du nom deja sortie sur dream cast, mais ils ont mal traduit le comuniqué de presse, ce n´est pas pas sonic 1 mais un NEW sonic, un niuveau sonic

apres sa faite pas les malins, c´est vs les abrutis qui savent pas lire bande d´inculte !

Il y aura 2 prochains Sonic sur NGC dont 1 inédit, le "Sonic Mega Collection" (c le vrai nom ? )
Celui ou ils disent "a new Sonic Adventure" ca veut dire que c´est une nouvelle version, améliorée et optimisée pour la GameCube.
