Whilst Nintendo of Europe are going to confirm the release date for the GameCube in Europe at Milia 2002 in early Febraury, more news has come to light regarding the launch.

According to reliable sources at TotalGames, GAME warehouses (also Electronics Boutique) are full of point-of-sale GameCube units. These units are those used on in-store displays.

Logitech, a 3rd party manufacturer, also sent out a press release recently (below), which states that “The new range of controllers and accessories will be available at the beginning of March, in time for the launch of the new GameCube console.”

Finally, the release of the highly anticipated PS2 title Metal Gear Solid 2 has been delayed in Europe until March 8th - which seems rather timely is you ask us, considering that the GameCube is expected to launch around the same time.
