Spider-Man director Sam Raimi talked to the Sci Fi Channel while he was in Chicago shooting early scenes for the sequel. Here´s a transcription of the interview, thanks to ´angelsoul´...

When the reporter asked him if he could give away any of the plot for the sequel, Sam said this:
"The sequel will mostly have to deal with Peter and Mary Jane, and to a lesser extent, Aunt May. I want to see how Peter and Mary Jane deal with being madly in love with each other, remaining best friends, but not being able to be together. It´s possible that this will wear Peter down, that he didn´t think too far ahead when he said that he would be her friend, he might not have thought that he would have to be around her so much, but we will see just how wrong he was."

When asked about Mary Jane knowing his secret:
"She has a very good idea, but no real proof. There might be a scene in the sequel where Peter will have no choice but to reveal himself to her. If a situation arises that the only way to save her is to do it out of his costume, which I think is something all super heroes don´t look forward to."

Any new love interests for Petter and/or MJ:
"Love interest is such a strong term when you use it for these two who are obviously so connected that the idea of anyone else taking their place is pretty silly. We might throw in few dates here and there to liven it up a bit, nothing wrong with drama."

The villian:
"Right now, we are only thinking of having one major villian and probably a minor one. Most likely that will be Doc. Ock and The Lizard."
