" Electronic Gaming monthly reports, by way of an interview with Capcom producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi, that Resident Evil 5 is currently under development.

While there are literally no details to speak of ( namely what platform the game will release on and when), the recent interview does confirm RE5 development and also implies that the same changes that went into RE4 would carry over to RE5.

From Hiroyuki Kobayashi´s own mouth, " We are going to do a Resident Evil 5, of course, but as for exactly what it will be like...that´s something we´re busy thinking about right now... [RE4] is the start of a new story line. In other words, when you think of it that way, then it´s safe to say that RE5 will naturally proceed from where RE4 left off."
