If the new thief didn´t have a demo then i never would have found out that a GE force 4 card wasn´t good enough to run it. I don´t buy without trying. Too much crap can go wrong compatability wise. Even that aside, how do I know the AI is any good, or that the online play is at all realistic or balanced. How do I know that Its going to be worth the money to buy. You don´t see anything but eyecandy in the screen shots and video clips of game play. The reviewers are the same guys that said Battlefield vietnam was an awesome game that was leagues ahead of Battlefield 1942. BF Vietnam was another Demo-less game, thank god I didn´t waste my money on that huge dissapointment of a game.
If the developers aren´t making a Demo then its for good reason. Either the game sucks and they don´t want you to find that out till you bought it, or the game developers don´t have the time to spend on making a demo. The first scenario.. game sucks.. don´t buy it. The second scenario, the game is buggy and was released too soon and doesn´t have adequate technical support. Beware the demo-less release.
