Euh... qu'entends-tu par "j'ai réussi a ouvrir le fichier xorg" ? C'est un fichier texte, donc ça ne doit pas produire de message d'erreur...

ou est le fichier texte xorg.conf? la fonction de recherche ne le trouve pas, or xorg est installé

Oublie la fonction rechercher. Il y a au moins deux raisons pour lesquelles elle ne va pas marcher.

Le fichier est : /etc/X11/xorg.conf
Enfin bon, tu peux essayer (si elle est disponible) la commande :
$ sudo nvidia-xconfig

Vérifie aussi que le paquet nvidia-glx-new est installé et que les paquets nvidia-glx-legacy et nvidia-glx-legacy NE le sont PAS.

ces paquets sont installés/désinstallés dans le bon ordre, cependant il existe un paquet nvidia-xconfig. je l'aurais installé immédiatement si il n'impliquait pas la désinstall de nvidia glx new
