Perfect housewives.
We'll talk about the document at the top of the page 50, "Perfect housewives". Is a colour drawing.
representing a woman as cooking with an oven, and she is standing beside the oven. This
scene takes in the 50s.
This picture still realiste today ? We we'll say why it changed in the first time, and in the second
time, we we'll say why didn't totaly changed.
First, it changed because in the drawing, this is the stereotype of the perfect housewives : she
does not work, she stays at home to do the house work. But today, women are working, like their
houseband, Before, it was not possible for them. They were discriminate, and they did not
have the right to work, to do long studies, or to vote. Nowaday, all of this is possible for them.
But, not everything has changed, like the salary, in some jobs, women are less paid
than men. In politic, there are less women than men. Women do always more the housework
and take care of the children more than the men. But things start to change and in a few
years, men and women could be totally equal.
