The idea progress is an idea of development. It can be technical, scientific or social. I will focus on technical progress and so on new technologies.
I will explain in a first time the advantages then in a second time the drawbacks of new technologies.
New technologies present a lot of advantages.
•For example these last years the most revolutionary innovation has been internet. This invention has changed our behaviors. It make our life easier. We can do all we want. We have access to an incredible mass of information’s. We can also buy on internet mostly second hand. So we don’t have to move to the library or to the shop. We can do all staying at home. Internet is also a new communication means with the forum, the chats or the social network. We can communicate with everybody in the world. And with Smartphones we can be connected on internet everywhere.
•There are progress in other category, medicine and science for example. Technologies enable to care the patient more easily. For example robots which make surgical operations.
•Physicals tasks are easier thanks to NT. Machines perform repetitive or tiring tasks. For example, now farmers use vehicles to till the fields.
So NT have a lot of advantages and have become indispensable.
On the contrary, these advantages can also be drawbacks.
•They are very expensive. It create a new kind of social discrimination. Indeed, the people who can’t afford to buy NT are disadvantaged.
•Some people mainly young become addict to NT. This problem become more and more serious. A clinic for this people has been created.
•The robotization can cause problems. Machines substitute men. So it cause unemployment.
• There are drawbacks about private life. With social network, people can show your photos, where you are with géolocalisation …
• Internet allow to communicate however. There is less human contact.
• All these NT which are very useful can also be used for the war.
In conclusion, We can say that NT have a lot of advantages yet they have also drawbacks. In any case NT ave become vital.

Myths and heroes:
A hero is a man or a woman who makes important things. There is heroes in a lot of categories. In the politic (for example: Barrack Obama, first black president), In the sport (Michael Jordan). But heroes can be fictional characters from book or movie. All this people have made a feat and are idols and examples for other people. I will focus on two examples of heroes: Steve Jobs And Usain Bolt. From these two examples we will try to understand what it take to be a hero.
In Class, We studied the example of Steve Jobs. In short, he was famous to have been the co founder and the CEO (Chief executive officer) of Apple. He is at the origin of the the Mac computer, Iphones, the Ipads. These devices are famous in the world and have revolutionized our behaviors. So, Steve jobs can be considered as a hero because he was a genius witch allowed him to make history. His death has caused a lot of emotions.
We can also speak about Usain Bolt. The Jamaican sprinter is considered as the fastest man in the world. He won several medals at the Olympic game. He was nicknamed « lightning Bolt » because of his position after each victories. In addition, he is charismatic, he makes the show during the competitions.
In conclusion we can say that to be a hero you need courage, determination, you must be passionate. So this men defend these values and are model for others people.
