"par les matons de la prison" ...
Déjà, dis moi le contexte, il y a différentes situations et donc de traductions...

La traduction plutôt familière serait : By Prison´s Screw.

Sinon, tu peux dire: par les gardiens de la prison;

By the prison guards.
Ou typiquement américain: By the jailors.

ciao!

Screw Prison ?? Non!

By Prison´s Screw.

By the prison guards.

C´est plus soutenu!

« Kay Scarpetta? »
« Yes …»
« Nicholas Grueman here. I led my inquiry on the prison where was Mr Waddell. And I have several information which could interest you… »
« Which one? »
«First of all I made examine the electric chair, but we found nothing of abnormal. »
« You did not make that that? » I began in waited me.
« Moreover, I put a team of surveillance to the prison. » After a long silence he started again.
«Thanks to this surveillance, I was able to understand where from came the marks on Mr Waddell. »
« Continue, continue . »

D´où... = where ... from. :/

« Frequently at night, when prisoners ask to go to toilet, either other thing. The screws do not answer. Thus prisoners get excited and shout more and more hardly. Then the screws strike them until that prisoners keep silent. »
« With what did the guards strike them? »

« Frequently at night, when prisoners ask to go to toilet, either other thing. The screws do not answer. Thus prisoners get excited and shout more and more hardly. Then the screws strike them until that prisoners keep silent. »
« With what did the guards strike them? »
« The screws, their put knocks whatever they are, but also they struck them by means of a stick. »
« Is it everything? »
« No. I was able to notice as well, as besides the knocks which prisoners received they were deprived of their food the next day. »
« What did you make? »
« I made a report of all which I was able to notice and I sent him to the mayor. This one said to me that he shall load with this affair personally. »
