Salut,
j´vous demande pas de corrigé a fond juste vite fait et les trucs qui vous paraisse bizzard hein XD
Le sujet : Would you say that environment and personal experience are essential to a writer´s inspiration ?
The novel is a way of expression, a creation. There are as much types as personalities.
Science fiction, for example, is a very special type. Isaac Asimov in "I, Robot" couldn´t obviously come from that fantastic world. His story couldn´t be a part of his personal experience. This is the result of his imagination.
On the other hand, the opposite is confirmed very often ; there are many books inspired by the author´s life. The biographies is a concret example. Voltaire (XD) "in Mémoire pour sérvire à la vie de volataire..." illustrates perfectly this idea expressing his real life with the true surronding, the true feeling, where imagination doesn´t take place.
Environnement and personal experience are a part of human´s life. And the writer can express, translate these elements. By this way, the Brontë sisters elaborated most of their novels. They live together in a huge dull residence, isolated on the moor. The lanndscape is bare, desert. It confers an impression of emptiness, of loneliness. The atmosphere is heavy, gloomy. They are shut away. This is a very calm context conducive. What expresses very well Emily in her novel "Wutherings Heights". Moreover, she did not have a happy life, like her sisters.
On the whole, the novel can/may ? have no connexion with the author´s life, so ennvironement and personal experience arn´t essential to a writer´s inspiration
C´est toujours bien de faire corriger par les autres, j´vois pas toujours les nombreuses fautes XD
