Voilà, j´ai un exposé de 2 minutes ( donc rapide ) à faire en anglais sur la guerre de corée. J´aurais avoir votre avis sur mon texte et si quelques erreurs m´ont échappées.

I/ Division

When the victory on Japan was certain in the second world war, Americans, who feared URRS’ expansion, suggested that the Korea, a country colonised and oppressed, be divide into two parts at the level of the 38eme parallel.

When Japan lose the war, URSS occupied the North whereas USA occupied the South with the intention to disarm Japan and create free elections in Korea.

The first elections were made the 10 may 1948 and a Republic of a unite Korea was created.
However Soviets ignored deliberately these elections and created a communism regime.

In 1948, URSS and USA left Korea but before that USA left the South, they removed all offensives arms in the South because they thought that the South could have provoked the North.

II/ The War

The North who knew that the South was disarmed, decided to attack the South, a simple target…
Then the Nations-Unites called “all necessary assistance” to repulse the North’s army.
15 countries helped the South and 45 financed the travel to the Korea.
The 16 September 1950 the offensive of the North was stopped. Then ONU decided to went to the North with the intention to destroy all force army of the North.

However China, who feared that Nations-Unites eliminated communism in Korea, attacked the army of Nations-Unites in 1950.
The army of NU had to retreat in 1951. However the could repulse again China and the North.

In 1952 ONU suggested a negotiation between the two countries. The 23 July 1953, the war was stopped.

But nowadays, the Korea isn’t unified and a demilitarise zone divides the two countries but paradoxically this zone is the most militarise in the world…

(eliminate ca va pas cherche un autre mot)

Alors à la place de "eliminate" j´ai mis "remove"

Je pensais que la possibilité au passé ce faisait par: modal + have +pp

alors j´avais mis could have provoked
