Craig is meeting Rachel in front of a café. They´re both fifteen. Both have problems with their parents, like all teenagers, especially on the question of future jobs
Craig : You look miserable. what´s the matter with you, Rachel ?
Rachel : I´ve had another fight with my parents
Craig : What was the problem this time ?
Rachel : It´s always about the same thing. What I want to do later in life, and what they want me to do. I want to become a train driver. They say it´s not a girl´s job. They´d like me to become a secretary !
Craig : Girl´s jobs... Boys´jobs... this is ridiculous.
Rachel : Exactly.
Craig : Have you always wented to be a train driver?
Rachel : No. I´ve often changed my mind. Like all childrens, I suppose.When I was eight, I wanted to be a dancer. At ten, an air hostess. At twelve, a lorry driver.
Craig : And now you´ve changed your mind again.Why ?
Rachel : Well, lorry drivers have a hard dans dangerous life. There are no regular hours. Sometimes they don´t come back home in the evening.ANd they´re on the road in all weathers.
Craig : That´s not a job for me. You know, Rachel. I´ve got the same problems. My parent are fermers and they want me to go to agricultural college. The yexpect me to take over the farm, one day.
Rachel : And what do you want to do ?
Craig : Become a clothes designer. My dad thinks it´s not a boy´s job.
Rachel : I´m not surprised. Our parents are old fashioned , aren´t they?
Craig : The only thing we can do is wait for our eighteen birthday
