Dynamic Global Warpgate Lattice
The global links ( warpgate-to-warpgate connections) will be randomized periodically ( each cavern rotation period) and the links to the Empire Sanctuaries will be severed. This change has the benefit of " mixing up" the continents and ensuring that no continent can ever be wholly ignored. The cavern links rotate from continent to continent, providing more reasons to fight on previously ignored continents AND the dynamic nature of the links ensures that Empires have to take different routes and methods each day as they struggle for supremacy over their chosen objectives.

Broadcast Warpgates
The Sanctuary warpgates will be restructured as " Broadcast Warpgates". These modified warpgates allow connection only to warpgates on continents that are connected to continents over which that Empire has a lock.

The interface for these Broadcast Warpgates is a view of the global map that appears when you enter the core of the Warpgate. Warpgates linked to the warpgates on your locked continents will pulsate brightly, allowing the player to see which warpgate destinations are available. The player may, if desired, zoom into continent view ( by double-clicking that continent, as normal) to see more detail on those continents.

The ability to broadcast warpgate directly to warpgates on locked continents means that any friendly moving from the Sanctuary is likely to be moving to a Warpgate situated closely, if not directly on, the frontlines of that Empire. ( Other empires will be trying to unlock that continent ensuring that fights are reasonably nearby and no " dead" continents must first be crossed to arrive there.)

This has the side benefit of focusing an Empire´s fronts around its Dominated continents. Forces coming from the Sanctuary will tend to explode from warpgates on Dominated continents, thus reinforcing the idea that they possess certain areas by defining those areas as the place they can originate from.

Relative Population Listing
On the list of items that you can turn off/on on the overhead map ( such as SOI, text, resources, etc.) a new option is listed called " Population List". When the player has this on ( and it is " on" by default), a pop-up dialog will appear.

On the list of items that you can turn off/on on the overhead map ( such as SOI, text, resources, etc.) a new option is listed called " Population List". When the player has this on, a pop-up dialog will appear, showing all of the continents, Sanctuaries, VR Training areas, and caverns. Next to each region is a value for the total percentage of world population in that zone. The listing of regions is sorted in population order ( i.e., most populous is first, least populous is last).

In addition to hot spots ( which already show you where your Empire is fighting) and enemy density warnings, this also allows players to get a better approximation of enemy force locations. This lets them move toward locations that are more likely to have great combats in them.
