One of the most difficult and infamous sequences in the game is the "Doing Things The Hard Way" sequence (5), also known as DTTHW or "Veni Vidi Vici!". This is a seven room sequence (Doing Things The Hard Way/Veni/Vidi/Vici!/Easy Mode Unlocked/Your Bitter Tears...Delicious/Getting Here Is Half The Fun) required to obtain the fourth trinket. It requires the player to fall upwards through seven rooms composed of tunnels with spiked walls. At the top, there is a quicksand block which must be used to flip before falling back downward through the same tunnels. The sequence requires a great deal of practice before it can be performed with any regularity.
