"1.11: I have an ATI video card and even though my system meets the hardware requirements I still get poor performance. (Back to Top)
This is a known driver issue with the Radeon video cards. Update your video card drivers to the latest Catalyst or Omega Drivers.

Atari and BioWare take NO responsibility for the use of third party software, such as the Omega Drivers. However, if you are having issues with game performance in Neverwinter Nights they are worth trying. www.omegadrivers.net
One workaround is to go into the nwn.ini file and change Enablehardwaremouse=1 to Enablehardwaremouse=0.
The above option may not work on all systems but does on most.
Another option is to try turning off “AGP Fast Writesâ€, “AGP Read†and “AGP Write†as this may have a positive impact on stability and performance in Neverwinter Nights.
If you notice the screen flickering and occasionally "blacking out", increase the refresh rate to 75Hz from the ATI Control Panel. "
