the ED servers will be shutdown at 11 am BST as part of the preparations for the Premium Beta release. Alpha games will not be able to connect during this time.

As I'm sure you've all noticed there have been some changes to the Elite: Dangerous forums. The Beta forums have been added and all beta related discussions should take place in there:

We will also be locking the Alpha forums, alpha backers will continue to have read access and we'll open threads as needs be, but all build discussion should now take place in the Beta forums.
