Pour le rythme, à part de rare occurrences (flashback de Ace & Luffy, par exemple), je le trouve globalement très bon. Même Skypea, qui est en général décrié pour sa longueur, passe comme une lettre à la poste. Je suppose qu'on trouve le rythme plus ou moins loin selon nos attentes.

En ce qui concerne les personnages, je les trouve réussis. Après, je comprends que l'attitude des gens te saoule, parce que c'est vrai qu'ils sont pas ultra complexes, cela dit on ne se retrouve pas avec des persos qui ont un seul trait de caractère non plus, et vu la masse de personnages, je trouve le tout bien géré. Après je t'ai vu plusieurs fois attaquer le manque d'évolution des mugiwara, et même si sur le fond tu as raison, je ne trouve pas ça gênant. Je n'ai pas envie d'un Luffy constamment sérieux, et son côté immature me plait. Même ton idole Son Goku agit souvent comme un gosse en dehors des combats, et il est bien plus âgé que Luffy. Luffy est mon personnage préféré, et je suis content qu'il ait pas évolué plus que ça. Comme quoi, c'est une question de point de vue. Les bases ont été posées dès le début du manga, et on a appris à aimer les personnages comme ils sont. Après je suis pas 100% conservateur non plus, j'ai rien contre l'évolution, tant qu'elle est juste et ne dénature pas le personnage. Je trouve que Robin a pas mal évolué au cours de l’œuvre par exemple, et même si le personnage en lui-même m'indiffère, c'était plutôt réussi.

Du côté des combats, certes y a rien d'extraordinaire, mais ça reste super agréable à regarder. Personnellement j'ai pas besoin de gore ou de meurtre pour ressentir la puissance des bourre-pifs que se collent les personnages, et rien qu'à voir Luffy vénère, j'ai mal pour l'adversaire. Même les simples punchs sont parfois très bien rendus, comme quand Luffy fout une mandale au Tenryubito. Alors après c'est pas du Berserk, c'est sûr, mais j'ai pas à me plaindre au niveau des combats. Récemment j'ai adoré le mini-échange entre Don Chinjao, Luffy et Cavendish. Pourtant, c'était pas très impressionnant, mais là où Oda réussit bien c'est dans la gestion du hype et du mystère. Après plus de 700 tomes, on sait toujours pas de quoi sont capables la plupart des personnages de l’œuvre, et ça c'est bon. Y a toujours une place pour le suspense, pour le rêve, c'est ça que j'aime.

Pour finir je dirais que je suis toujours ultra impatient de lire ma quinzaine de pages hebdomadaire, et ça montre que pour moi One Piece ne régresse pas du tout.
