Henry Selick (Coraline, L'Étrange Noël de Monsieur Jack, James et la Pêche géante...) a présenté hier soir son prochain film d'animation, Shadow King, dont voici la première affiche :

Réalisé en stop-motion et produit par k5 International. Disney ayant refusé à financer le projet et c'est tant mieux !

Synopsis :

The Shadow King is a deliciously magical tale about nine-year-old New York orphan Hap who hides his fantastically weird hands with long fingers from a cruel world. But when a living shadow girl teaches him to make amazing hand shadows that come to life, his hands become incredible weapons in a shadow war against a ravenous monster bent on killing Hap’s brother Richard and ultimately destroying New York.

Un réalisateur de talent qui annonce un nouveau film, soyons heureux

Quelle pitié qu'un grand réalisateur comme lui se fasse encore refuser un budget par une boite qui va se renflouer avec 5000 Star Wars. Enfin, un mal pour un bien.
