En fait, je trouve que même si c´est très beau, très majestueux, ça me semble horriblement pompeux, lourd, et chiant. J´accroche pas et j´ai envie de m´endormir quand j´entends leur musique.

Passé l'âge de classer mais, nightwish énorme groupe se stade qui était génial, j'avais vu avec tarja à Nîmes il y a super longtemps c'était le feu . Beaucoup moins fans de leurs autres chanteuses qui lui ont succédés.

Épica en live c'est super efficace , leurs prestation du hellfest était vraiment cool , autant bien que celle que j'avais vu il y a 10 ans !

Tuomas Holopainen has revealed that he’s been working on new music with his old black metal bandn, Darkwoods My Betrothed, and has plans to release it before the end of the year. The Finnish keyboard magician 'made three albums with the black metal outfit in the ‘90s, before forming Nightwish and eventually becoming one of the biggest metal musicians in Europe. Now, he says, thanks to COVID freeing up everyone involved’s time, previous idle chatter amongst the band has actually had a chance to grow legs and come to fruition.

"We did three albums in the mid-'90s, the latest one coming out in '98. Witch-Hunts, it was called. And since then, we have had this high school friends get-together almost every summer, since the past 15 years or so, and we always talk about the comeback of Darkwoods and then forget it immediately,” he told Kaaos TV.

“The summer comes, we talk about it, 'Now let's do it,' and then we forget about it. But last July, in 2020, we thought that it's really now or never. Because of this situation that the world is in, we finally might have the time and the means to actually realise this that we have been talking about for so long. And here we are."

Unlike Nightwish, where Tuomas is the creative main-brain, here he’ll just be manning the keyboards, as ever, and leaving the compositional work up to his bandmates.

"Originally I was just a session musician back in the days," he says. "And now, even though I'm a full-time member of the band, I still don't do any songs; it's the other guys who take care of that. I just play my parts with the keys. That's the dynamics of this particular band, and that's the way it works the best, because Jouni ['Hallgrim' Mikkonen, guitar], Teemu ['Hexenmeister' Kautonen, bass] and Pasi ['Emperor Nattasett' Kankkunen, vocals], the core of the band, they have such a strong vision of the songs and the lyrics and the overall atmosphere of what Darkwoods is about. So they do the songwriting part, and then I just come in and spice up the whole thing with the keyboards, just the way it has worked in the past and on this album as well."

Tuomas went on to reveal, first, that in lockdown he’s been listening to… very little, but that black metal was a formative musical movement for him.

"I don't really listen to any kind of music anymore, for reasons I can't really explain,” he says. “But back in the days, in the mid-'90s, black metal was a huge thing for me for a short period of time. Bands like Emperor, Enslaved, Dimmu Borgir and Cradle Of Filth. I don't even know if these bands want to be called black metal, because that's such a puritanic thing, but for me, I was highly influenced by that genre of music. And I still enjoy them a lot. But I just don't listen to music at home that much. And also I don't think that Darkwoods My Betrothed can be categorised solely as a black metal band. Musically, yes, but the lyrics are about something completely else."

Nightwish are currently preparing for their An Evening with Nightwish In a Virtual World live-streamed event this Friday and Saturday. The band will appear in a virtual pub, The Islanders Arms, to perform tracks from last year’s Human. :ii: Nature. album live for the first time.

Preparations are going well. That’s a lot of green screen...

Donc c'est bien ce qu'il dit, tu ne sais pas lire, ou alors, c'est toi qui ne comprend pas l'anglais.

Dans ton article, Tuomas parle du projet « black metal » (il trouve ça réducteur de ne le qualifier que comme ça, car du point de vue des paroles, il estime que ça n'a rien à voir, mais il en a l'influence) qu'il avait AVANT Nightwish et auquel il se consacre pour la première fois en 20 ans, sortant même un nouvel album, mais les deux groupes restent distincts.

C'est l'islam qui domine en occident, le metal chrétien ? Quelque part oui. il évoque satan une création divine dans le monothéisme mais ce ne sont pas les même chrétiens qui vont à la messe il ne faut pas confondre. Marilyn Manson black metal ? Ok il blasphème mais ce n'est pas associé exclusivement au BM. L'Islam terminé en France ? Même en habitant au fin fond de la Corrèze il y a du baphomet.

Tuomas from Nightwish has revamped his old black metal band

The Nightwish mainman is preparing to release Darkwoods My Betrothed’s first album in 23 years.

Tuomas Holopainen has revealed that he’s been working on new music with his old black metal bandn, Darkwoods My Betrothed, and has plans to release it before the end of the year. The Finnish keyboard magician 'made three albums with the black metal outfit in the ‘90s, before forming Nightwish and eventually becoming one of the biggest metal musicians in Europe. Now, he says, thanks to COVID freeing up everyone involved’s time, previous idle chatter amongst the band has actually had a chance to grow legs and come to fruition.

"We did three albums in the mid-'90s, the latest one coming out in '98. Witch-Hunts, it was called. And since then, we have had this high school friends get-together almost every summer, since the past 15 years or so, and we always talk about the comeback of Darkwoods and then forget it immediately,” he told Kaaos TV.

“The summer comes, we talk about it, 'Now let's do it,' and then we forget about it. But last July, in 2020, we thought that it's really now or never. Because of this situation that the world is in, we finally might have the time and the means to actually realise this that we have been talking about for so long. And here we are."

Unlike Nightwish, where Tuomas is the creative main-brain, here he’ll just be manning the keyboards, as ever, and leaving the compositional work up to his bandmates.

"Originally I was just a session musician back in the days," he says. "And now, even though I'm a full-time member of the band, I still don't do any songs; it's the other guys who take care of that. I just play my parts with the keys. That's the dynamics of this particular band, and that's the way it works the best, because Jouni ['Hallgrim' Mikkonen, guitar], Teemu ['Hexenmeister' Kautonen, bass] and Pasi ['Emperor Nattasett' Kankkunen, vocals], the core of the band, they have such a strong vision of the songs and the lyrics and the overall atmosphere of what Darkwoods is about. So they do the songwriting part, and then I just come in and spice up the whole thing with the keyboards, just the way it has worked in the past and on this album as well."

Tuomas went on to reveal, first, that in lockdown he’s been listening to… very little, but that black metal was a formative musical movement for him.

"I don't really listen to any kind of music anymore, for reasons I can't really explain,” he says. “But back in the days, in the mid-'90s, black metal was a huge thing for me for a short period of time. Bands like Emperor, Enslaved, Dimmu Borgir and Cradle Of Filth. I don't even know if these bands want to be called black metal, because that's such a puritanic thing, but for me, I was highly influenced by that genre of music. And I still enjoy them a lot. But I just don't listen to music at home that much. And also I don't think that Darkwoods My Betrothed can be categorised solely as a black metal band. Musically, yes, but the lyrics are about something completely else."

Nightwish are currently preparing for their An Evening with Nightwish In a Virtual World live-streamed event this Friday and Saturday. The band will appear in a virtual pub, The Islanders Arms, to perform tracks from last year’s Human. :ii: Nature. album live for the first time.

Donc c'est bien ce qu'il dit, tu ne sais pas lire, ou alors, c'est toi qui ne comprend pas l'anglais.

Dans ton article, Tuomas parle du projet « black metal » (il trouve ça réducteur de ne le qualifier que comme ça, car du point de vue des paroles, il estime que ça n'a rien à voir, mais il en a l'influence) qu'il avait AVANT Nightwish et auquel il se consacre pour la première fois en 20 ans, sortant même un nouvel album, mais les deux groupes restent distincts.

Même pendant le confinement il (Tuomas) écoutait du black metal, et le genre de musique préféré du forum musique depuis sa création s'appelle du black metal, si moi qui n'en suis que très peu fan, je sais ça, c'est bizarre que vous non.

Il dit justement qu'il écoutait très peu de musique, qu'il n'en écoute pas tant que ça chez lui, et quand il parle de black metal et de Darkwoods truc, il évoque sa jeunesse au milieu des années 1990.

Oui pour son ancien groupe et son nouvel album, sinon il dit quand même que pendant le confinement, il écoutait du black metal.

Et effectivement, que réduire Nightwish au BM est réducteur, donc désolé pour lui, en connaissant mal le genre, je range dans le black metal tout ce qui est sombre, noir, et c'est le cas de Nightwish.

Mais après effectivement ils sont très différents de Marylin Manson, qui est très noir aussi, et de Cradle of Filth.

Donc il y a plusieurs genres de black metal, en plus du symphonique

Nightwish d'après leur interprétation d'un psaume qu'a mise Abyss sur le topic du réveil musical, c'est du black metal, donc je n'aime pas, mais apparemment d'autres gens, si, car ils ont un certain succès, comme Marylin Manson.

Les intégristes, peu importent leur religion, n'aiment que leurs musiques, le metal est à tendance chrétienne, donc normal que les musulmans n'aiment pas, ils ont plutôt des musiques orientales.

L'Occident est chrétien, et le Proche-Orient musulman, et même avec le mondialisation, ça ne change pas, de toute façon en 2027 c'est le Rassemblement National, donc l'islam en France 🇨🇵, c'est terminé.

C'est l'islam qui domine en occident, le metal chrétien ? Quelque part oui. il évoque satan une création divine dans le monothéisme mais ce ne sont pas les même chrétiens qui vont à la messe il ne faut pas confondre. Marilyn Manson black metal ? Ok il blasphème mais ce n'est pas associé exclusivement au BM. L'Islam terminé en France ? Même en habitant au fin fond de la Corrèze il y a du baphomet.

Il faudra voir comment se comportent les musulmans en France avec le Rassemblement National au pouvoir.

On peut déjà le voir en Italie, avec Girogia Meloni depuis 2022, mais même si la plus grande mosquée européenne est à Rome, il y a beaucoup moins de musulmans chez eux, dans le pays le plus catholique.

Remarque c'est pas plus con que ceux qui considèrent que Metallica fait encore du thrash.

Alors pour commencer, c'était une blague, hein.
Sum 41 c'est du Punk-Rock Californien, comme The Offspring, que j'appelle aussi Punk-à-roulettes.

Pour clore le débat, Nightwish n'est absolument pas du Black Metal, ni de près ni de loin : c'est du Metal Sympho, ce sont mêmes les pionniers du genre.

Le Black Metal, c'est Cradle Of Filth (évoqué plus haut), Mayhem, Emperor, Rotting Christ, Immortal et des dizaines d'autres, je ne vais pas tous les citer ; et il n'y a qu'à écouter 2 minutes l'un de ces groupes pour comprendre que ça n'a musicalement rien à voir avec Nightwish.
Cela dit, il existe aussi le Black Sympho comme Dimmu Borgir entre autres (et aussi Cradle Of Filth finalement), mais même si les 2 groupes (Dimmu Borgir et Nightwish) ont le mot "Sympho" dans le sous-genre de Metal qu'ils représentent, ils ont très peu de choses en commun, musicalement parlant.

Raisonnement totalement absurde, à la limite on peut associer ce qui est "sombre" au mouvement gothique (Nightwish en utilisait d'ailleurs certains codes à leurs débuts), mais encore une fois, rien à voir avec le Black.

PS : on va aussi éviter d'inclure des raisonnements religieux absurdes là-dedans, c'est totalement hors-sujet.
