MILAN - According to transfer market experts, Inter are close to signing Lampard and Mancini from Chelsea and Roma, but Inter patron Massimo Moratti says he is in no rush.
"We're not in a big hurry to close deals," said Moratti, who with his collaborators is looking at the most economically convenient solutions, including other players on the wish list, starting with Schweinsteiger.
As for negotiations over Mancini, the Inter president said: "We have to meet with Roma in the coming days but we are also looking at a few other players in that role."
When asked about Lampard, Moratti replied: "Players like him are those who can be most useful to the team."
Moratti also commented on the remarks made by Messi's father about a possible future at Inter: "I'm happy about this. Messi wasn't that well known when I first had this thought. For me it would be fine if his price was the same as it was back then..."
In the meantime, Adriano will report back for duty later this month after returning from a loan spell in Brazil. "It depends on his desire, and I think it's there," said Moratti when asked if the striker will be part of Inter's plans. "It would be wonderful if he could still be useful to us. He's one of the greats."
