David Moyes is hopeful that Marouane Fellaini will still be at Everton next season as the midfielder continues to be linked with a move to Chelsea.
Fellaini last month admitted he was interested in moving to Chelsea but insisted he would not force a move away from Goodison Park.
Manchester United and Real Madrid have also been credited with an interest in the Belgium international, and although Everton could face a fight to keep hold of him when the transfer window reopens, Toffees boss Moyes sees him as a big part of his plans for next season.
"He is a big part of our squad not only because of his size but also because of how important he is to us and he is someone that we will be more than happy to see here again next year at Goodison," he told Yahoo! Sport.
Fellaini, who is under contract at Goodison Park until 2016, recently insisted he is happy at Everton, but told Chelsea to firm up their interest if they do want him in their squad for next season.
"Am I interested in Chelsea? It’s normal, right? I’ve never played in the Champions League," he told The People.
"I’m happy here, I know everyone, I get along with my team-mates. It’s my home. On the other hand, I also want to take the next step. Fate will decide.
"Everton paid £20million and do not want to sell me for nothing. If a big club
