Coleman has cash to spend on transfers
Fulham have signed Liberian-born striker Collins John from FC Twente, according to the Dutch club.
The 18-year-old agreed to join The Cottagers on Friday in a four-and-a-half-year deal.

Fulham manager Chris Coleman wants to replace top scorer Louis Saha following his move to Manchester United.

John was under contract to Twente until 2005 and has impressed with nine goals for the club this season after arriving in Holland as an asylum seeker.

He appears to be a natural replacement for Saha, equipped with pace, strength and good ability on the ball, and was also reported to have been tracked by Manchester City.

Selon le quotidien espagnol Marca, le milieu de terrain suédois d´Arsenal Fredrik Ljungberg intéresserait les dirigeants du Real Madrid. L´éventuelle venue de l´international dans la capitale espagnole leur permettrait également de s´ouvrir sur le marché scandinave.

Les choix des dirigeants madrilènes semblent désormais porter au-delà des qualités sportives. Le quotidien espagnol Marca révèle que le Real Madrid serait tenté de faire venir Fredrik Ljungberg, le milieu de terrain des Gunners d´Arsenal, âgé de 26 ans. Florentino Perez, le président du club de la capitale, pourrait ainsi s´ouvrir sur le marché scandinave. L´international suédois est en effet une star dans son pays, comme l´est David Beckham en Angleterre.

MADRID ( AFP) - Le milieu de terrain défensif international argentin Esteban Cambiasso, qui termine son contrat au Real Madrid ( 1re div. espagnole) en juin prochain, va signer à l´intersaison un contrat de trois ans avec option pour une année supplémentaire à l´Inter de Milan ( 1re div. italienne), a-t-on appris lundi de source proche du joueur de football.

Selon la presse espagnole, Cambiasso a décliné des offres de la Juventus et du Milan AC et aurait déjà signé un pré-contrat avec l´Inter.

Rangers boss Alex McLeish has revealed he is interested in Arsenal striker Francis Jeffers, but insisted he would only move for him if the deal was right.
McLeish is actively looking for a new striker with Egil Ostenstad, Michael Mols and Ronald de Boer out of contract at the end of the season.

Arsenal would likely to be willing to offload Jeffers, who is currently on loan at Everton and McLeish could be in the hunt for the England international.

Sociedad to let De Pedro leave

Javier De Pedro will leave Real Sociedad will be leaving the club in the summer after the Basque outfit revealed they will not be offering him a new deal.
The Spanish international´s contract expires in the summer and the club have decided not to renew his deal allowing him to leave on a free transfer at the end of the season.

The 30-year-old´s future has been the subject of intense speculation since last summer when he almost left the Anoeta for Southampton.

De Pedro, who had the best assist record in La Liga last season, has struggled for form and fitness this term.

The left-sided winger has fallen out-of-favour with Sociedad coach Raynald Denoueix and the club are willing to let him go which will end De Pedro´s 11-year association with the side.

Sociedad are happy for De Pedro to remain at the club until the end of the season and are confident he will continue to give 100 percent as they seek to climb away from trouble in La Liga and progress in the UEFA Champions League.

De Pedro has previously revealed he would be interested in a move to England and news of his availability will alert Premiership duo Southampton and Blackburn, who are still monitoring his situation.

Perrier-Doumbe: Unhappy at Auxerre

Jean-Joel Perrier-Doumbe has alerted Birmingham City and Bolton Wanderers by declaring his intent to leave Auxerre at the end of the season.
The Cameroon international has impressed at international level with his rugged play certainly catching the eye.

It is anticipated that the defender´s style would suit the physical nature of The Premiership and both Blues boss Steve Bruce and Wanderers chief Sam Allardyce are believed to be admirers of his talents.

" I thought, after a good Confederations Cup, I would play more often," he told L´Equipe.

" Clearly I only play when Johan Radet is not here.

" There is nothing wrong with him, but now I want a fresh atmosphere.

" I hope to be able to show my abilities in the coming weeks."

The African ace could have problems securing a move away from Stade de l´Abbe Deschamps with Guy Roux already preparing for life without Jean-Alain Boumsong, Olivier Kapo and Djibril Cisse.

Perrier-Doumbe still has two years left on his contract and is likely to push for a Premiership move if the chance comes along.
