L´attaquant d´origine ivoirienne Georges Ba, qui jouait la saison dernière à Besançon ( champion de National et promu en L2), a signé lundi à Nice un contrat de trois ans avec l´OGC Nice.

L´attaquant bisontin, âgé de 24 ans, 1,86 m pour 86 kg, a été le meilleur buteur en National avec 15 buts pour 32 matches. Il est, à ce titre, un des artisans de la montée de son club en L2.

Georges Ba était libre et en fin de contrat avec Besançon alors que le club niçois est interdit de recrutement onéreux par la Direction nationale du contrôle de gestion ( DNCG).

Borussia Dortmund, 3e du Championnat d´Allemagne 2002-2003, a décidé d´acquérir définitivement l´attaquant brésilien Ewerthon Henrique de Souza, 21 ans, rapporte lundi le bi-hebdomadaire Kicker.

En 2001, Dortmund s´était assuré 50% des droits de transfert d´Ewerthon aux Corinthians Sao Paulo pour environ 3,6 millions d´euros, avec une option pour la deuxième moitié à faire jouer jusqu´au 15 juillet 2003.

Selon Kicker, le Borussia fera jouer son option cette semaine en payant environ 4 millions d´euros. «Ewerthon a un grand potentiel», selon le manager Michael Meier.

Ewerthon, dont le contrat avec Dortmund court jusqu´en 2005, a disputé 60 matches en Bundesliga et marqué 21 buts au total, dont 11 la saison dernière.

Le milieu de terrain de Malaga Kizito «Kiki» Musampa a passé lundi matin avec succès des examens médicaux et devait signer dans l´après-midi un contrat de cinq ans avec l´Atletico Madrid.

Le transfert avoisine les trois millions d´euros. L´Atletico, Malaga et le joueur négociaient depuis plusieurs semaines, Kiki Musampa demandant notamment qu´on lui verse 15% du montant du transfert.

Au cours de la semaine passée, l´agent du joueur avait même mené d´autres négociations avec Séville, qui était prêt à verser la somme au joueur. «J´ai cédé sur une partie et Malaga a cédé sur une autre», a notamment reconnu le joueur lundi.

Agé de 26 ans, le joueur d´origine congolaise a été formé à l´Ajax, qu´il avait quitté pour Bordeaux en 1997. Il avait ensuite été transféré à Malaga en 1999 pour deux millions d´euros environ. Meneur de jeu de Malaga, il a disputé 95 matches en Liga pour 22 buts, dont 8 cette saison.

En proie à de sérieux problèmes financiers, Malaga, qui a refusé de verser des primes promises à ses joueurs et frôle la banqueroute, devrait également se séparer de sa vedette uruguayenne Dario Silva, qui négocie également avec l´Atletico Madrid mais qui est aussi annoncé par la presse au FC Barcelone, en Angleterre et en Italie.

D´autres joueurs de Malaga, comme le défenseur Pablo Sanz, le gardien remplaçant de l´équipe nationale espagnole Pedro Contreras et même l´entraîneur Joaquin Peiro, pourraient également quitter le club en raison des problèmes économiques

Pas moins de 122 joueurs de l´élite du football anglais se retrouvent à la recherche d´un nouveau club après l´expiration de leur contrat, a déclaré le responsable de l´association des joueurs professionnels anglais Gordon Taylor.

Les clubs anglais laissent en cette fin de saison un record de 586 joueurs sur le carreau, dont 122 qui évoluaient dans un club jouant en 2003-2004 en Premiership, parmi lesquels l´ailier nord-irlandais Keith Gillespie ( Blackburn) et le milieu de terrain tchèque Patrik Berger ( Liverpool).

« Notre boulot, c´est de les aider tous à trouver un club, mais je serai satisfait si nous en recasons les deux tiers », a déclaré Gordon Taylor, qui a souligné l´insécurité de l´emploi chez les footballeurs professionnels anglais, dont la majorité ne signe des contrats que pour un ou deux ans.

Le club de l´OGC Nice, placé le 28 mai sous «recrutement contrôlé» par la Direction nationale du contrôle de gestion ( DNCG) et interdit «de recruter des nouveaux joueurs à titre onéreux», a fait appel de cette décision lundi.

La DNCG avait décidé de placer le club sous « recrutement contrôlé au titre de la saison 2003-2004 dans le cadre et dans la limite de la masse salariale figurant au budget prévisionnel du 15 mai 2003 » et lui a interdit « de recruter des nouveaux joueurs à titre onéreux ».

Les transferts du milieu de terrain Yoann Bigné ( Rennes) et de l´attaquant Christophe Meslin ( Rennes), signés, sont donc suspendus. En revanche, l´attaquant de Besançon ( National, promu en L2) Georges Ba a signé lundi un contrat de trois ans alors qu´il était libre de tout engagement.
Par ailleurs, le président du club Maurice Cohen réunira un conseil d´administration jeudi pour lancer une procédure d´augmentation de capital d´un montant de 2,8 millions d´euros comme l´avait demandé la DNCG le 19 juillet dernier

Auxerre coach Guy Roux will have little time to savour the latest triumph of his 42-year association with the French club.

In the coming weeks the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool are expected to beat a path to his door on a mission to prise away star players Djibril Cisse, Philippe Mexes and Jean-Alain Boumsong.

The scale of Roux´s plight was made clear in the run-up to the French Cup final on Saturday when striker Cisse made it clear that he wanted to be a Liverpool player next season.

And with the dust still settling on Auxerre´s 2-1 victory over Paris St Germain, centre-back Philippe Mexes said he found his manager´s methods stifling and admitted reported interest from Arsenal was " flattering".

Roux, who has been at Auxerre since he joined the club as a player in 1961, has threatened to leave if Cisse or Mexes are sold.

" In football, contracts generally mean nothing - except at Auxerre," Roux said after the cup final. " At our club they bind people.

Auxerre won the French Cup after beating PSG 2-1
Philippe Mexes, a target for Arsenal and Liverpool, could quit Auxerre over a bitter legal dispute.

Mexes´ agent Olivier Jouanneaux told this website the France defender has " lost confidence" in Auxerre over a contract dispute that has rumbled on for six months.

Mexes is being represented by Belgian lawyer Jean-Louis Dupont, who also advised Jean-Marc Bosman in the six-year court battle which revolutionised the transfer system.

Last December, Mexes signed a one-year extension, keeping him at the French club until 2006.

But Auxerre claimed get-out clauses were then added by Mexes´ adviser and refused to recognise the new deal.

Premiership lures Auxerre stars

In April, the French Football Federation rejected Auxerre´s appeal that the contract should be declared null and void, but the case has now gone before the French Olympic Committee.

" We are fighting against the club," said Dupont, who pleaded the case before the FOC yesterday and expects a decision in eight days.

" The club admits it has renewed the contract, but the old contract is the valid one. My best guess is that it is an internal power play.

" The Auxerre president signed the contract, but Guy Roux was unhappy because he doesn´t want star players."

Jouanneaux added: " "It is 50/50 whether Philippe will stay or go. At the moment he doesn´t feel respected by the club."

Malaga : Musampa à l´Atletico Madrid

Kiki Musampa a passé lundi matin la traditionnelle visite médicale à Madrid et devait signer dans la foulée son contrat avec l´Atletico. L´ancien bordelais va s´engager pour cinq ans.
Kiki Musampa ( 26 ans) devrait signer avec l´Atletico Madrid, un contrat de cinq pour un montant avoisinant les 3ME. Après être passé par les Girondins de Bordeaux et Malaga, le joueur d´origine congolaise se dit prêt à continuer le football sur la terre ibérique.
