Portsmouth manager Harry Redknapp has told BBC Sport he is hoping to bring Teddy Sheringham to Fratton Park.

The Pompey boss is looking to strengthen his squad as they prepare for their debut season in the Premiership.

And he is hoping to bring in the 37-year-old Sheringham, who is being released by Spurs.

Newcastle are interested in making a move for Tottenham defender Stephen Carr, BBC Sport can confirm.

The Magpies are keen to bring the 26-year-old full-back, who has one year left on his deal at White Hart Lane, to St James´ Park ahead of next season´s assault on the Champions League.

Batistuta a failli signer au Qatar en faveur du club Al Arabi, mais les deux parties ne sont pas tombées d´accord sur le montant du contrat.
