Manchester United boss Fergie is furious his midfield maestro has been called up to play for Portugal in Athens next month. And, pointing to the fact Ronaldo also had a tough Euro 2004, Fergie fears his 19-year-old wideman could end up suffering from burn-out. Fergie blasted: “If you cut a cake too many times, in the end there is nothing left. If Cristiano plays in the Olympics we are going to end up having to give him two months’ rest for his own good. So he will not be able to play for us until November. To me, the situation is ridiculous.”

Fergie, also losing Cristiano Ronaldo, said: “This situation could deny Gabriel Heinze a career at Manchester United. The left-back position was his. But at the start of this season I am going to have to have someone else in if he is at the Olympics. He could find it difficult to get into the team. In fact, he may never play a game for Manchester United. He has an opportunity to start a career here but that has been taken from him."

The misery continues for Ole Gunnar.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could be facing up to three more months on the sidelines
after being told he´ll need more treatment on his knee. Speaking before a training session at the NovaCare Complex, manager Sir Alex Ferguson revealed the extent of Solskjaer´s injury.

´When Ole went to get treatment at the end of the season he saw a Swedish
specialist, who is reputedly the best in the world, ´

´There was a proviso from the specialist there would possibly be a second step.

´That´s the second step we are taking now. It is not a shock, only a
disappointment.

´There were no guarantees ( after the operation). It was a trial and hopefully there would be success.

´But we feel now that it has not been 100% successful and that he should take
the second phase and go back and see him again.

´It may mean he will be out for five-six weeks. But if it is worse than maybe two or three months.

´Certainly we are in control of the situation. I think we know where we are going with it.´

Rangers say no to United star

Cashing in

The Reds had previously hoped to recoup at least some of the striker´s initial transfer fee but the collapse in the transfer market coupled with the collapse in Forlan´s reputation means that they will now accept bids starting from £0.

And they could even accept a loan offer from Atletico, perhaps in the hope that should Forlan impress they will be able to negotiate a deal that woukld take Fernando Torres in the other direction.

Forlan has also been heavily linked with a move to Aston Villa, but Villans boss David O´Leary has seemingly decided that one erratic South American is enough for any squad and won´t now look to partner Forlan with Juan Pablo Angel.

Je viens de relire le topic et je suis sceptique sur le fait qu´Arsenal soit plus fort avec ce recrutement ^^

Ils ont juste compensé des départs: Almunia pour Shaaban, Flamini pour Parlour, Van Persie pour Kanu, retour de Jeffers pour Wiltord, retour de Pennant pour Bentley...Et départ non compensé de Keown ( Tavlaridis et Stepanovs sont partis aussi).

Ils ont surtout une équipe plus jeune, mais pas de révolution du côté d´Arsenal et une équipe assez similaire, avec comme principale recrue Van Persie ( si j´oublie personne ^^).

et arsenal a pas son defenseur gauche qui se casse alors qu´il n´a encore rien prouver ( il est bien parti pour se retrouver sur le banc heinze) et son seul joueur capable de produire du jeu au millieu de terrain . ..

et puis méme sans ca ils nous ont mis a 15 points . ..

Je vois pas de crise tant qu´il y a pas de matchs personnellement ^^

Il y un probléme avec Heinze, mais O´Shea est la pour jouer à gauche et j´ai entendu qu´il faisait partie des quelques joueurs à avoir fait bonne impression à la reprise...

Pour Ronaldo c´est problématique, mais aux autres joueurs de le faire oublier. MU n´a jamais vraiment été l´équipe d´un joueur en particulier, mais plutôt un colectif, donc il faudra s´en sortir sans les qualités individuelles de Ronaldo...Il faut attendre les premiers matchs pour juger de l´équipe. C´est un vrai coup du sort, mais ils seront plus frais en fin de saison avec leurs vacances tardives.

Je sais pas si Miller est blessé, j´ai juste entendu ça pour Ole Gunnar ^^
