Advocaat questions Ruud link
Holland coach Dick Advocaat has questioned why Manchester United would look to sell Ruud van Nistelrooy to Real Madrid.
Speculation has suggested that Sir Alex Ferguson will cash in on the Dutch sharpshooter in order to finance an extravagant bid for England´s new striking sensation Wayne Rooney.
With Steven Gerrard killing off reports that he has already agreed a deal with Chelsea on Monday, the tabloids are now almost certain to focus again on Rooney and van Nistelrooy´s futures, despite United reiterating they have no intention of selling their top scorer.
" As far as I know, Ruud´s just signed a contract at United for another four years," said Dutch boss Advocaat.
" He´s happy there, the manager´s happy with him, everybody´s happy with him - so why would he go?
" In my opinion, Ruud is the best striker around.
" It´s incredible how he is playing.
" He is a gift from God. He works his socks off and you can see that he´s desperate to get the result he wants - to get into the final and score more goals."
