FERDINAND KEEN TO REPAY FERGIE
Manchester United´s Rio Ferdinand is keen to repay manager Sir Alex Ferguson for standing by him over his drugs ban and wants to stay at Old Trafford.
The former Leeds United and West Ham stopper is currently on the sidelines for missing a drugs test, but will not forget the club´s support for him quickly.
Ferdinand´s absence allowed The Premiership crown slip through United´s fingers to Arsenal and the 25-year-old is keen to make up for lost time.
" There´s definitely a debt of honour to the boss - and I intend to repay him by putting in top-class performances," explained Ferdinand.
The England international has been linked with a summer move to big-spending Chelsea, however Ferdinand is not looking to leave United.
" People come up and ask ´Are you going to Chelsea?´ but I am not going anywhere," he added.
" I love it at United and I´ve so much more I want to achieve here."
