SPANIARDS CHASING CHELSEA ACE

Atletico Madrid have revealed that they want to land Chelsea striker Adrian Mutu.
The Romanian suffered a disappointing end to his first season at Stamford Bridge after starting with a flurry of goals.

Mutu spent a lot of time on the bench falling behind the likes of Eidur Gudjohnsen, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and Hernan Crespo in the Blues´ pecking order.

Atletico admit they are keen to lure the former Parma ace to Spain, but have conceded it will be a complicated move due to the size of the transfer fee Chelsea paid for him.

The West Londoners shelled out £15.8 million for the 25-year-old and Atletico would not be able to afford anywhere near that figure if they decide to pursue a deal.

" We know that the move will be very difficult because Chelsea paid a lot of money for Mutu and they want to recover a great deal of that," stated Atletico director of sport Toni Munoz.

il s´est mis au couleur local.

pas de torres à chelsea ou alors il veut planter sa carriere.

ben c´etait a parsi j´habite pas a lyon . .....

mais c´etat genial un des plus beaux concerts que j´ai vu . ..

Fergie has got Heinze catch-up
Sir Alex Ferguson last night took his spending to more than £56million in less than a year as his squad rebuilding gathered momentum with the arrival of central defender Gabriel Heinze. Argentina hard-man Heinze will become Ferguson´s ninth signing since last July when he completes an £8million move to Manchester United to Paris St Germain today. The 26-year-old will sign a four-year contract worth about £2m a year after passing a medical yesterday. United, who have beaten off interest from Valencia, will pay PSG £6m as a down-payment with a further £2m depending on appearances and their progress in the Champions League.

Ruud van Nistelrooy is at the centre of a furious row which is threatening to tear the Dutch squad apart. Holland boss Dick Advocaat is ready to drop van Nistelrooy in favour of Barcelona star Patrick Kluivert and use him as a lone striker. But it has brought an angry response from Manchester United striker van Nistelrooy who said: " I did not come to Euro 2004 to sit on the bench."
