Manchester United a fait une nouvelle proposition pour enrôler l´attaquant international de Leeds Alan Smith.

Leeds, qui avait refusé une offre de 5 millions d´euros, puis une seconde enchère à environ 8 M d´euros, a reçu une nouvelle proposition d´environ 9 M d´euros, qui aurait été accepté.

Mais Peter Lorimer, le directeur de Leeds, a démenti samedi cette information, indiquant que rien n´était signé. «Nous en avons discuté en comité directeur vendredi mais aucun accord n´a été conclu, a déclaré Lorimer. Nous avons des offres d´autres clubs mais Alan veut aller à Manchester United. Nous en saurons plus lundi, mais pour l´heure, Alan est toujours chez nous.»

les meilleurs ont gagné et c´etait pas milwall.

a souligner aussi le bon match de giggs.

Ca faisait longtemps qu´on avait pas vu à la fois Scholes et Giggs aussi incisifs et motivés, une bonne chose, surtout avec la prestation excellente de Cristiano.

Ronaldo ma impressionner !

n´oublions tout de meme pas qu´en face cété milwall mais bon manchester ma fait plaisir

à part sa passe décisive pour le but de Ronaldo, Neville a été pitoyable !

Gary Neville said Manchester United´s tribute to tragic former team-mate Jimmy Davis was more important than winning the FA Cup on Saturday.
The United squad changed into shirts bearing the name and squad number of Davis, killed in a road accident last August, for the cup presentation.

" Nine months ago, we had a team-mate. We still think about him and we mention him regularly," said Neville.

" Hopefully, what we did today will make Jimmy´s parents smile for a moment."

United skipper Roy Keane instigated the move, which Sir Alex Ferguson and the rest of the Red Devils camp were fully behind.

" It shows our respect for a terrific lad," said Ferguson.

" Jimmy was a smashing kid. His family have found it very difficult so we hope they know we still remember him."

Keane said the all the players supported the tribute.

" It is important we remember how lucky we are," he said.

La modeste équipe de Millwall n´a pas à rougir de sa prestation face au géant Manchester United . Les hommes de Dennis Wise, ont reussi l´exploit de mettre en échec toutes les offensives des Reds Devils durant 43 minutes avant que ce poison de Ronaldo, dans un très grand jour, ne viennent mettre sa téte sur un centre de neville pour mettre fin aux espoirs des londoniens . Ruud Van Nistelrooy allait transformé un penalty obtenu par Ryan Giggs et realisé le doublé sur un centre magnifique de ce méme Giggs.

Mais le match aurait pu tourne à l´avantage de Millwall si le juge de touche n´avait pas signalé une position de hors-jeu inéxistante, et si l´arbitre avait sifflé pour une faute du Français M.Silvestre dans la surface.

En résumé une belle equipe de Millwall qui n´a pas été avantager par l´arbitre et un C.Ronaldo qui a gagné le match à lui tout seul.

05/22/2004. Sir Alex Ferguson has hailed Cristiano Ronaldo´s dazzling display in Saturday´s FA Cup as proof that he has the most outstanding young talent in Europe.

Officially, a two-goal performance from Ruud van Nistelrooy earned him the man of the match as Man U cruised to a 3-0 win over first division side Millwall.

But for both Ferguson and opposing manager Dennis Wise, Ronaldo was unquestionably the star of the contest. They believe that Ronaldo, who scored United´s first goal just before half-time, should have claimed the award.

" He´s skilful, he has got an awful lot of talent and he can open people up," acknowledged Wise after witnessing the Portuguese starlet give his left-back Robbie Ryan look like a school boy player with his awesome array of tricks.

" There is no question that the potential of that player is better than anything in Europe. What we have to do is realise that potential," said Ferguson.

" It took him time to get used to British football but with every passing week he is getting better and better and to my mind he was the man of the match," he added.

Of all the Portuguese players who have come over to England in recent years ( Postiga, Hugo Viana and Silas) Ronaldo has been the only one who has had a positive impact.

" Coming from Portugal to English football can´t be easy so I am really pleased with his first season," said Ronaldo.

peut etre le meilleur jeune qu´on est eu a MU .

il a été magique tout le match . L´année prochaine il va étre titulauire et tout casser .

je ne vais pas m´enflammer . Je n´aime pas trop rooney et pas du tout smith . Mais je me dis que dans un sens il sont jeune l´avenir du foot anglais . rooney peut totalment exploser dans un club comme MU . Smith on verra . Quand a heinze je suis fou de joie . Lui a gauche , avec son physique et sa hargne notre defense va retouver son mordant .
