SMITH IN NO RUSH
Alan Smith says he is in no rush to move on from Leeds as he claims he needs to make the correct career choice.
The striker is certain to leave the Elland Road club following their relegation from The Premiership and has been linked with a whole host of teams.
Newcastle, Middlesbrough and Manchester United are said to be keen on the aggressive centre forward, but Smith is also open to the prospect of playing abroad.
With the player likely to have a number of options to mull over, he has hinted that he may well leave a decision until after this summer´s European Championship.
" I am in no rush," he told Sky Sports News. " I want it to be the right move for my career and for Alan Smith.
" That is vital if you are going to move on, it has to be right as it is a massive step in my career.
" I have got to see which clubs come in for me, what offers are there.
" Me moving on is not going to help Leeds, but it will help Alan Smith and that is what I have got to think about."
Commenting on the possibility of moving abroad, Smith added: " I have spoken a few times before about going to Spain or Italy. I would love to do that, yes. But whether it is now or in the future, who knows?
" If it comes up, it will be hard to pass by."
