Barca admit Ronaldinho interest
Barcelona have slapped a £66 million price tag on Ronaldinho after Chelsea showed an interest in the Brazilian international.
The former Paris Saint Germain player has been in inspirational form for the Catalan giants this term and it is believed Roman Abramovich has earmarked him as a possible summer target.
Now the Liga side have admitted that The Blues have made an inquiry, but that it will take a world record fee to prize away one of the biggest stars in the world game.
Ronaldinho only moved to Spain last summer but a clause in his contract means he could be sold on for £66 million.
That kind of fee would not be an issue for Abramovich and Chelsea, although it appears they are not the only club who has shown an interest in the Samba star.
" Along with the Chelsea offer we have had other approaches," stated Laporta in The Sun
" There will be very substantial bids for him and we cannot prevent mega offers from petrol magnates as the player does have a buy-out clause in his contract."
Meanwhile, Peter Kenyon has insisted that the future of Claudio Ranieri at the club has not yet been decided.
It is widely expected that the end of the season will see the Italian coach depart Stamford Bridge and replaced by current Porto boss Jose Mourinho.
However, The Blues chief executive has now stated that no decision has yet been made on who will be in charge next term and that the club have been in talks with the former Valencia coach over his future for sometime.
" There´s been no decision taken and there´s been no one appointed," explained Kenyon.
" Through all this period we´ve conducted discussions on an on-going basis with Claudio."
finalement il va peut-etre venir en angleterre...
