KEANE IN GOOD SPIRITS
Roy Keane claims the spirit at Manchester United is as strong as ever, despite conceding there have been a number of dressing room bust-ups at Old Trafford this term.
The star over Old Trafford has dimmed this term, with Arsenal wrestling the Premiership crown away from United with comparative ease.
Defeat to Porto in the UEFA Champions League does not look as bad as it did in March, given the exploits of the Portuguese titans since their Old Trafford heroics, and The Red Devils could save some face if they lift the FA Cup later in May.
Midfield powerhouse Keane, though, admits his side have been below par this term but he does not believe there is a divide in the dressing room.
" We´ve had one or two disappointments this season," said Keane. " And as soon as that happens everyone seems to jump on the bandwagon.
" When you have 20-odd players in a dressing room you are going to have disagreements now and then. If you didn´t then I would be worried.
" But things in the dressing room are fine, the spirit among the players is as good as ever."
Red Devils boss Sir Alex Ferguson is likely to overhaul his squad in the summer and he will look for his captain Keane to unite the players in a bid to take the balance of power away from Highbury.
