Keane could quit Utd
Roy Keane is on the brink of quitting Manchester United. Keane is angry at manager Alex Ferguson’s reaction to his decision to play again for the Republic of Ireland. And it could open the way for a summer move to Celtic where Keane, 32, has always said he would love to finish his career. Furious Fergie fell out with his United skipper when Keane insisted he wanted to play friendlies as well as competitive games for the Irish. Ironically, Keane was forced to pull out of tomorrow’s friendly in Poland with a hamstring injury. The Republic’s medical staff told him he would be unable to play.

Roy could go in weeks
Roy Keane finally bowed to Fergie’s Law yesterday and returned to Manchester United. Now it could only be a matter of weeks before the Old Trafford captain and his manager part for good. Midfielder Keane, 32, has been frustrated at Alex Ferguson’s reaction to his return to international football with the Republic of Ireland. Fergie advised against it and even blocked his return when Brian Kerr took over as national coach. But Keane’s ugly departure from the 2002 World Cup was beginning to gnaw away at him. The Irishman told Ferguson he wanted to go back — and the understanding was it would only be for competitive games. The United boss was left fuming when he heard Keane was going to Poland for tomorrow’s friendly and tersely said ‘Roy knows best’.

Bergie: Bye bye Fergie
Dennis Bergkamp has taunted Arsenal’s title rivals, claiming Chelsea and Manchester United are light years behind the Gunners. And the veteran Dutchman predicts Arsene Wenger’s all-conquering team will dominate the English game for years to come. Bergkamp, 34, enjoyed his third Premiership title win on Sunday and will open talks on a new Highbury contract this week. He said: “There’s so much distance now between us and Manchester United and Chelsea. We showed it throughout the whole season and now we want to win back-to-back titles. That’s our main target.
Mark Irwin, The Sun

Injury Luck Was A Key Title Factor, Says Alex
Sir Alex Ferguson rejects talk of a huge gap between Arsenal and Manchester United and believes the injury factor was a key to the Gunners´ runaway title success. Ferguson claims Arsenal were relatively untroubled by injuries, while he had to do without several of his best players at crucial points of the season. Ferguson lost Mikael Silvestre, Gary Neville, Paul Scholes, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Wes Brown at various times as United dropped valuable points. " Arsenal have had a fantastic campaign and look quite capable of going unbeaten all season," said the United boss. " However it´s worth pointing out that they have been relatively free of injuries, just as we were when we won the Treble. Being able to select your best team consistently in the big games helps get results."
David Anderson, Daily Mirror

Robin van Persie is set to make a decision over his future by Thursday - and Arsenal are favourites to land the Feyenoord winger.
The 20-year-old is expected to sign a £2.3m four-year deal with the Gunners.

However, Feyenoord spokesman Fred Blankemeijer said: " We do not know yet where he will be going and cannot say.

" We have no details to reveal at the minute but we should know within the next couple of days and we will be making an announcement."

And his agent Erwin Boonacker said: " We´ve been talking to Arsenal since the winter. I can´t tell you any more. You will have to talk to Arsenal."

The Gunners made a bid for Van Persie in the January transfer window but after their initial offer was rejected they moved for Sevilla´s Jose Reyes.

The Dutch Under-21 international has also been strongly linked with Spanish side Seville and Germany´s FC Schalke. He has spent most of the season on the bench after a series of disagreements with Feyenoord coach Bert van Marwijk.

But he told PSV Eindhoven over the weekend that he would not be joining them.

Van Persie´s father and his agent were due to hold talks with PSV on Friday but pulled out of the meeting.

PSV then revealed in a statement that Boonacker informed them by text message that Van Persie would not be joining them.

Rotterdam newspaper Dagblad reported Van Persie rejected a £3m offer from PSV in favour of a £4.8m transfer to Arsenal but Feyenoord would not confirm this.

" In retrospect I´m glad that we didn´t take a risk on a player like that," said PSV chairman Harry van Raaij.

=>Dans 2 jours Van Persie annonce où il signe ^^
