FORLAN GROWING FRUSTRATED
Thursday 8th April 2004
Uruguayan striker Diego Forlan admits he is becoming unsettled at Manchester United.
The South American has failed to make the expected impact at Old Trafford since his £7.5 million move from Independiente in January 2002.
He has bagged just 10 goals in 59 Premiership appearances and is now very much on the fringes of the squad, since the arrival of Louis Saha and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer´s return to fitness.
Forlan has also been offered to Atletico Madrid, Paris Saint Germain and Real Betis over the past 18 months as a makeweight in transfer bids for Fernando Torres, Ronaldinho and Joaquin.
The 24-year-old is now seemingly growing increasingly frustrated at his situation.
" It´s difficult to settle when you are not playing every week," he said.
" It is so much more difficult coming on for five minutes then not playing for a month.
" It means there is a lot of pressure on you when you are selected.
" You are expected to do well and score when you´ve got no match sharpness."

La fin du championnat s´annonce dure pour arsenal en plus ils perdent Henry quoi que si c la meme blessure que Reyes il sera là au prochain match
=>LOL ! Henry vient de déclarer qu´il jouerait ce week-end, effectivement ^^
moausi pour les bons transferts ! !!
ok il y a eu ronaldo et howard . .

Muscat to miss Cup final
Millwall´s Kevin Muscat will miss the FA Cup final after being ruled out for the rest of the season with knee ligament damage.
Muscat sustained the injury during a challenge with Sunderland´s George McCartney in the FA Cup semi-final.
" His season is finished, which is an exceptional shame," assistant boss Ray Wilkins told the club´s website.
" He has played some exceptional stuff this year and is going to miss out on what should be a wonderful climax."
But Wilkins said the club are hoping the injury is not as serious as was initially feared.
" Kevin saw the surgeon on Wednesday and from what the surgeon can read off the scans it is not as bad as first thought.
" In saying that, he is not going to know the full extent of the damage until the surgeon goes in.
" We´re all keeping our fingers crossed for him and please God, he can come out of it in a couple of months and not the longer period once anticipated."
=>2e bonne nouvelle ^^
" Man Utd back in Pontin´s"
Manchester United will be entering a team in the Pontin´s Holidays League next season after a five-year break.
United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has decided that the competition is the ideal testing ground for the wealth of young talent at his disposal.
" It is imperative that young players get the opportunity to play games."
He added: " It offers the opportunity of a competitive situation. It is a terrific league and I am delighted that Manchester United are taking part."
David Cookson, Pontin´s Holidays League Secretary, said: " We are delighted to welcome Manchester United back to the competition.
" The Pontin´s Holidays League allows clubs to test out developing players in a highly competitive environment.
" United´s crop of young talent will add to the existing quality of the competition and I´m sure there will be great interest in the team."
The Old Trafford outfit remain committed to the FA Premier Reserve League, plus the Under-17 and Under-19 competitions their teams also currently appear in.
Muscat c´est l´australien sulfureux qui avait blessé Dugarry ?

United’s treble doddle
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger claims it was easier for Manchester United to win the Treble in 1999 — but evidence does not back his theory. Wenger said: “I’d like to compare United’s draw in the FA Cup in 1999 to ours and I don’t think it’s comparable.” But United could not have had it harder. They had to defeat Middlesbrough, Liverpool, Fulham, Chelsea, Arsenal, and Newcastle. Arsenal this term beat Leeds, Middlesbrough, Chelsea and Portsmouth before losing to United. Wenger added: “The competition was not as strong in the Premiership. There are more teams now who can fight and compete with United.”

We’re still number one
Arsene Wenger insists winning the Premiership will prove Arsenal are the best team in England. Wenger claims even if Chelsea, who knocked the Gunners out of the Champions League on Tuesday, go on to lift Europe’s biggest prize the title remains the mark of true excellence. He said: “I still think the championship is the real reflection of the quality of a team. That needs consistency. The Champions League is a cup and wrong conclusions are drawn about Europe. The team who wins the European Cup is not necessarily the best team in Europe and the team who wins the FA Cup is not necessarily the best in this country.”

=>Le futur nouveau Giggs de MU ? ^^
UNITED SIGN GAY MEADOW YOUNGSTER
Thursday 8th April 2004
Shrewsbury Town manager Jimmy Quinn has revealed that Gay Meadow youngster Sean Evans has signed for Premiership giants Manchester United.
The former Northern Ireland international has given his blessing to the move, which is reportedly worth a " substantial" amount to the non-league outfit, after the Under-16 midfielder impressed during a six-week trial stint with The Red Devils.
" We are delighted for Sean and hope that he goes on to have a very successful career with Manchester United," Quinn told Shrewsbury´s official website.
" We believe that our youth policy is an important ingredient in the club´s future and we are delighted that our faith is being repaid, not only by today´s announcement, but by the number of former youth players who are now part of the first team squad."
Evans is a skilful left winger who will be sad to leave Town after joining the club as a nine-year-old.
However, the chance to move to Old Trafford is one he could only have dreamed about, and the prospect of learning from the likes of Ryan Giggs in the future must be thrilling the teen starlet
