brown il a vraiment rejoue comme l´année derniere hier . et ce n´est meme plus un penalty c´est un attentat .

Ruud van Nistelrooy has revealed he will never leave Manchester United for another club and intends to retire from the game while at the top of his form.
The 27-year-old has been mooted as a target for Real Madrid but insists he has no desire to walk out on Old Trafford.

However, such is the pressure and intensity of life at United, the former PSV Eindhoven star does not plan to continue playing well into his thirties.

Van Nistelrooy has set a seven-year limit on his stay at Old Trafford but will then attempt to hang up his boots while still at the top like another United hero, Eric Cantona.

" I have my own philosophy on how I will one day retire and it means I will walk away from football completely," stated the Dutchman.

" Becoming a manager is not an option for me.

" I will do it exactly like Eric Cantona when he was at United.

" It will be bang, wallop and I´ll be gone. I want to do it when I am at the peak of my career.

" Playing blistering football one moment , the next gone forever.

" I am not a player who is ready to go to other clubs and play at a lower level.

" I have become used to this fantastic club, so that would be impossible. That is not my style.

" Either I am super-motivated to play at the top or I refuse to play. There is no in-between.

" I am really hungry to be a success at United, but at times it takes everything out of me.

" The big stars at this club have about seven years at the top and that´s what I am aiming for."

MANCHESTER United chief executive David Gill has rejected suggestions that Arsenal are close to ending the era of Old Trafford dominance because he believes the Gunners will soon be hobbled by debts.

On the pitch, Arsene Wenger´s side have left United looking ordinary as they established what looks like an impregnable lead in the Barclaycard Premiership and maintained a presence in the Champions League.

The two clubs meet in the league tomorrow and again next weekend in an FA Cup semi-final at Villa Park with Arsenal favourites to progress.

But Gill warned that United are still financial champions, pointing to the Gunners´ plans to build a new stadium at Ashburton Grove as a drain on their resources.

" People talk about the United empire crumbling and that Arsenal have a great new future but let´s not ignore the fact that their debts will be £280-300million and that is a lot of debt to service," Gill told the Daily Telegraph.

" Arsenal are a very well run club but, compared with us, our off-the-field revenue is a lot bigger and we have got this magnificent stadium which is paid for."

c pas un attentat non plus mais ya bien faute , quand a brown exact c son meilleur match avec notamment des interventions en 1ere periode extrement parfaite ( notamment sur henry)

Henry : «Je ne respecte pas les joueurs de ManUtd»
Thierry Henry était très remonté contre l’équipe de Manchester United après le match nul de dimanche ( 1-1). Il les accuse de lancer des rumeurs.

Dimanche dernier, Thierry Henry était passablement remonté contre son coéquipier Lauren, coupable de ne pas lui avoir passé le ballon au moment opportun. Il n’en fallait pas plus pour que certains joueurs des Red Devils affirment que les deux Gunners s’étaient battus dans le tunnel. Ce qui avait le don d’énerver Henry : «Ils ne peuvent pas nous battre sur le terrain donc ils lancent des rumeurs. MU rompt le contrat de Barthez

Manchester United annonce, mardi, que le club et Fabien Barthez sont tombés d´accord pour mettre fin avec effet au 30 juin 2004 au contrat du gardien français, actuellement prêté à Marseille. Le contrat de Barthez, arrivé à Manchester en mai 2000, courait normalement jusqu´en juin 2006.

Cet accord coûterait à Manchester United 5 millions de livres sterling ( 7,46 millions d´euros), dont une partie, non précisée, «pour compensation auprès du joueur».

L´international tricolore a été prêté pour neuf mois à Marseille en octobre dernier alors que le joueur ne pouvait pas être aligné avant janvier, son transfert se faisant en dehors des périodes officielles.

Barthez, qui a rejoint les Red Devils en juin 2000, avait été laissé de côté par l´entraîneur Sir Alex Ferguson à la fin de la saison dernière en raison de sa méforme. Le Français avait donc été remplacé par l´Américain Tim Howard.

Désormais, Fabien Barthez va pouvoir négocier un contrat avec Marseille.

Malcolm Glazer says he may increase or sell-off his holding

Profits at Premiership giant Manchester United have risen by 32% at the half-time stage to £26.8m, beating City forecasts.
The results came as US sports tycoon Malcolm Glazer said he had " no current intention" of launching a takeover bid for the club.

Meanwhile, the club said the first half of its financial year had been an " extraordinary period".

And the Man United brand, it said, had gone from " strength to strength".

However, in early London trading following Mr Glazer´s announcement, Manchester United shares were down two pence, to 245p.

Bid fever chills

The club, third in the Premiership, has been at the centre of persistent bid speculation after its two biggest shareholders increased their stakes.

Irish duo John Magnier and JP McManus have a stake of 28.9% in Manchester United.

Any increase to 30% would force the two to offer to buy out other shareholders.

The pair were involved in a long-running dispute with Sir Alex Ferguson over the stud rights to racehorse Rock Of Gibraltar, until the United manager agreed a deal worth £2.5m ( $3.7m) three weeks ago.

Malcolm Glazer, meanwhile, was hotly tipped to raise his current stake of 16.69%.

He was even reported to have appointed Commerzbank to advise on bid strategy.

Now he has ruled out a bid in the immediate future, but added he could still move to increase or sell off his holding.

´Going forward´

Manchester United chief executive David Gill told the BBC that Mr Glazer´s statement " clarified" his intentions.

And he said he hoped to meet all major shareholders, including the Irish duo, to discuss the financial results.

" We will be explaining how we are going forward," he said.

" We have not received any bids and that is the current situation."

Mr Gill also said the decision to award Sir Alex a new 12-month rolling contract was taken after considering the interests of " 100% of shareholders".

Turnover suffers

The 32% profits increase came despite the club´s total turnover figure falling slightly on last year to £92.4m.

Sagging turnover was blamed on eight fewer home games, although this was partly offset by higher television revenues from the Champions League.

Operating profit, which excludes player trading, was £25.9m, up 27% on last year thanks to higher media revenues.

During the six months to 31 January, the club´s media revenues went up 24%, following rises in the final year of the current Premier League domestic TV contract and an increase in the " media pool" for English clubs in the Champions League.

Total wage costs in the first six months were £37.7m, down 5% as United reaped the benefits of summer transfer activity.

Wages are now 41% of turnover, compared with 43% last year and below the club´s target for the year of 50%.
