Ferguson: Loaned Timm out
Viking have agreed a loan deal to bring Manchester United´s Mads Timm to Stavanger.
The young Dane has been in good form recently, scoring twice for the reserves in last week´s win over Birmingham, and will look to obtain some first team experience in Norway.
After arriving at his new club, the former Odense youth starlet is set to feature in the friendly game with Sogndal on Friday.
" We have agreed a loan deal with the Danish striker Mads Timm," confirmed Viking director Bjarne Berntsen on Viking´s official website.
" It will last until our final game in the spring season on July 4.
" He is a very promising player. We have seen him several times and we think that it will be interesting to get him over.
" United and the player himself also thought it was interesting to go to Viking for half a season.
" They have got great plans for the Danish striker."
Viking are looking to Timm to form a lethal partnership with former United forward Erik Nevland.
The blond 19-year-old forward had seemed set to move to feeder club Royal Antwerp on loan, but is instead bound for a new adventure in Norway.
Sir Alex Ferguson is keen that his young charge takes another step up the ladder at Old Trafford after signing a new contract recently.
