You´re a bully Fergie
Chris Coleman branded Alex Ferguson a ’bully’ as the Louis Saha transfer saga exploded into a furious row. Fulham boss Coleman launched a blistering attack on the way Manchester United have tried to unsettle his 14-goal French striker. And he promised to stand firm against boss Fergie’s strong-arm tactics after rejecting an improved £8million bid for Saha — as The Sun revealed exclusively yesterday. Coleman fumed: “People are trying to bully us into selling one of our players. I don’t like bullies and I don’t like being bullied, that is why we are so determined to hang on to Louis Saha."

Fulham chairman Mohamed Fayed last night weighed in with a furious personal attack on “desperate” Alex Ferguson. While boss Chris Coleman labelled Fergie a bully for the way he has handled his attempt to steal Louis Saha, furious Fayed let rip. Although the Harrods owner will stop short of reporting United to the FA for “tapping up” his player, he could hardly contain his contempt for the way Fergie has moved in on Saha. Fayed said: “I am fed up with Sir Alex Ferguson trying to disrupt my club and continually trying to unsettle my players."
Bend it, er, like the boss
So what little number has Alex Ferguson got his eye on in the January sales? Take your pick from Saha, Vieri, Viduka, Smith and Defoe. And that’s just the strikers. Whoever he gets, though, we’ll be the last to be informed. Even when we know. Because Ferguson has made an art form out of what the great philandering Tory MP and diarist Alan Clark referred to as being “economic with the actualite”. It’s a sort of bending of the facts. Some might call it lying — others claim it’s a media game the Manchester United boss has been playing for so long he doesn’t realise he’s doing it any more. Or else he’s in denial
