" Brown on brink of return"
Manchester United defender Wes Brown could be back in action in time for the busy Christmas programme.
The 24-year-old, who damaged knee ligaments on the final day of last season, played an hour for United´s reserves in a 3-3 draw at Bristol City on Wednesday.
And afterwards Brown declared himself poised for a top-flight comeback.
" I am ready any time now for a return. I just need match practice," the defender told the Manchester United website.
" I have had no immediate reaction. I came off after an hour as planned."
Brown is unlikely to be in the squad for Saturday´s Manchester derby, but he could play at Spurs on 22 December.
His return comes as a major boost to Manchester United, as Rio Ferdinand faces a possible ban for missing a drugs test and Gary Neville has a recurrence of an old Achilles problem.
=>Seul Solskjaer est encore blessé, sinon l´effectif est enfin au complet ^^
