La je pense que c´est different du cas de Beckham et que Ruud est indispensable en attaque. A moins qu´il y ait une operation complexe et qu´un ou plusieurs attaquants le remplacent...Enfin,vu qu´Owen sera libre en juin je pense que ce serait plutôt logique que ce soit lui qui aille au Real.

United boss Fergie, who has admitted he needs an extra striker to take the weight off Ruud van Nistelrooy, will be straight in for Viduka. He believes there is a chance of snapping up the Aussie forward on loan until the end of the season, providing United pay his £65,000 a week wages.

PSV Eindhoven have confirmed Manchester United and Liverpool are among the clubs interested in striker Mateja Kezman.
If PSV receive a good enough offer during the January transfer window then the Dutch club will allow the 24-year-old Serbo-Montenegrin international to leave.

" Not only Manchester United and Liverpool, but also four to five other clubs are interested," PSV technical director Frank Arnesen told television station Canal Plus.

" If the money is good enough and if Kezman is happy with the club interested, it is very possible that he could leave ( in January).

Sir Alex Ferguson has agreed a new four-year contract to stay on as Manchester United manager - and may complete the formalities on Monday.

The United manager has confirmed a deal to stay in the job until 2007, taking him through to the age of 65 when he is likely to retire.

There were suggestions the club might withdraw its offer following treatment for a minor heart condition this week.

But Ferguson insisted this was never a threat to his future and eased any lingering worries after talks with chief executive David Gill.

" I have spoken to David Gill and he understands the situation. This will not affect my future here or the contract."

Ferguson added: " We have agreed the details and I think it is basically straightforward. It wasn´t going to be signed ( Saturday) night but we are ready."

Ferguson had hospital treatment to correct an irregular heartbeat on Thursday, but the Scot said he had planned the visit for over two months.
