L´entraîneur de Manchester United, Alex Ferguson, réagit après le tirage au sort de la Ligue des champions. Les Red Devils seront opposés au premier tour aux Glasgow Rangers, à Stuttgart et au Panathinaïkos dans le groupe E.

Alex Ferguson ( manager de Manchester United/groupe E) :
« C´est un grand tirage. Je m´attendais un peu à une équipe écossaise ( Glasgow Rangers) tout en n´y croyant pas trop. Alex McLeish avait joué sous ma direction et il a fait un très bon travail chez les Rangers. Nous étions déjà allés ( à Athènes affronter Panathinaïkos) et avions eu de la chance de ramener un nul 1-1 en mars 2001. Ce sera un match délicat dans une atmosphère difficile. En revanche, nous n´avons jamais rencontré Stuttgart, mais nous connaissons le football allemand pour avoir affronté le Borussia Dortmund et le Bayern Munich. C´est un tirage très intéressant et nous attendons les matches avec impatience ».

Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson was charged with misconduct by the Football Association ( FA) on Thursday following a touchline spat.

" The charges relate to the alleged use of abusive and/or insulting language to a match official during the match between Newcastle United and Manchester United on Saturday, 23rd August," the FA said on its website.

Ferguson, whose champions won the match 2-1, has 14 days to respond to the charges.

The Scot appeared to swear at fourth official Jeff Winter after his side were denied a penalty in the first half and was banished from the touchline by referee Uriah Rennie.

Ferguson watched the remainder of the match from Newcastle manager Bobby Robson´s office.

" I was really angry about the failure to penalise or red card Andy O´Brien for the foul on Ryan Giggs and made my feelings known from the bench in the way that I have done many times in the past," he was quoted as saying at the time.

" I am aware that the fourth official has been given stricter guidelines this season. I suppose I will have to curb my behaviour in the future."

A ce qu´il parait ayala au real,c presque sur selon la direction de madrid.

Non MU a bouclé à 95% son recrutement jusqu´en juin prochain. Wes Brown devrait revenir plus tôt que prévu en plus.

Pour Ayala rien de fait, cela dépend de Makelele et, à un degré moindre, de Morientes, mais surtout de la volonté d´Ayala d´aller au Real.
