"Veron misses Real tie" ( BBC)
Injruy has scuppered Veron´s hopes of playing
Juan Sebastian Veron has been ruled out of Manchester United´s crunch Champions League tie with Real Madrid in the Bernabeu on Tuesday evening.
The £28.1m Argentine has failed to recover from the knee-ligament injury he picked up against Leeds at the beginning of the month.
Sir Alex Ferguson could also rule him out of the vital Premiership trips to Newcastle and Arsenal in a bid to ensure he is fit for the second leg of the quarter-final on 23 April.
The only other absentee from the flight to the Spanish capital was Phil Neville, who is suspended after picking up his third booking of the competition in the 2-0 defeat by Deportivo La Coruna.

It means England duo David Beckham and Nicky Butt are almost certain to be recalled after starting Saturday´s 4-0 win over Liverpool on the bench, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer set to step down.
Real Madrid boss Vicente del Bosque is likely to be able to field his first-choice side.
He welcomes back the French pair of Zinedine Zidane and Claude Makelele to their midfield for the match.
Both missed Saturday´s 3-1 victory over bottom club Rayo Vallecano because of minor injuries recieved while on international duty last week.

Spanish international Ivan Helguera also missed Saturday´s game but is expected to partner club captain Fernando Hierro in the centre of the defence.
