" Howard set for Man Utd bow"
Howard has been impressive in training
Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson will hand a debut to Tim Howard against Juventus in an attempt to solve his goalkeeping dilemma.
American international Howard signed for United from the New York/New Jersey MetroStars in July and will face a fight for the number one jersey.
Fabien Barthez, who was dropped towards the end of last season, has been United´s first-choice keeper since 2000, but Roy Carroll and Ricardo have been selected on the US tour.
" Tim has shown his agility and quickness in training, he´s settled in very well," said Ferguson.
" He will play on Thursday. It´s an opportunity for him. There´s an opportunity for all the keepers here."

France international Barthez was given time off after the Confederations Cup, but Ferguson has indicated he will be given a chance to prove himself in the Community Shield against Arsenal on 10 August.
Ferguson´s plans in defence have been hit by a hamstring injury to Gary Neville, who will miss the start of the season.
But midfielder Paul Scholes has shaken off a groin strain and will start his first game of the tour against Juventus.
And Juan Sebastian Veron is expected to play despite speculation linking him with a move to Chelsea
