victoire de MU 3 - 1 un but de ruud et 2 de forlan . Veron est sur le point de partir finalement et ce serait la 3eme grande catastrophe de l´ete . surtout que les transferts ne bougent pas et a mon avis sont terminé . déja qu´a mon avis on s´est affaibli si en plus on perd veron ! !!!!!!!!

La carrière de Ronaldinho au Barça a débuté par une victoire face à la Juventus Turin ( 2-2, 6 t.a.b. à 5). Le Brésilien est entré en cours de jeu lorsque son équipe menait 2 buts à 0. La Juve ayant réagi en fin de match, égalisant dans les dernières secondes, la décision s´est faite aux tirs au but. Ronnie a inscrit le sien. Dans le jeu, il a montré que le système mis en place par Rijkaard lui convenait parfaitement.

Another superb strike from Ruud van Nistelrooy and two goals from Diego Forlan gave Manchester United victory over Mexican outfit Club America in Los Angeles.
The prolific van Nistelrooy set United on their way a minute after the interval following a goalless first half.

Forlan doubled the lead with a header from Quinton Fortune´s cross two minutes later and lashed home the third 11 minutes from time from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer´s flick-on.

Christian Patino grabbed a deserved late consolation for the Mexican champions in front of 57,000 fans in the LA Coliseum.

After United´s 4-0 win against Celtic in Seattle on Tuesday, the first half was a tepid affair by comparison.

But Van Nistelrooy broke the deadlock when he turned onto a Forlan flick and his first touch took him away from the last Club America defender.

The Dutchman then unleashed a devastating drive from the edge of the box which Adolfo Rios had no chance with.

Forlan was at the centre of most of United´s first-half raids without reward, but his persistence paid off in the 49th minute when he met Fortune´s cut-back with a firm header.

The Uruguayan, who took 27 games to break his scoring duck at United, sealed victory with his second after a long punt downfield from goalkeeper Ricardo.

Maybe the scoreline was a bit flattering but I am satisfied with the performance

The Spaniard had earlier done well to keep out Franky Oviedo´s header, while Ortiz also had a free-kick harshly ruled out for Club America after an infringement in the wall.

" It was quite a difficult game," United manager Sir Alex Ferguson told MUTV afterwards.

" It was quite warm out there and in the first half we couldn´t get much of a tempo going. But in the first 15 minutes of the second half we won the game.

" They were very good goals and that´s been the feature for us really, we´ve scored very good goals over here."

Mr Abramovich is spending freely
The Russian billionnaire buying Chelsea football club says he plans to wipe out the lion´s share of its debts.
Roman Abramovich - who now owns 94% of the club - has said he will repay a £75m ( $122m) bond sold to investors six years ago.

The debt had not been due to be repaid until 2007, but if bondholders agree to the 36-year-old tycoon´s offer it will remove the majority of the club´s debts at a stroke.

The move takes the total cash spent by Mr Abramovich on Chelsea to £177m, since he announced he was buying the club at the start of this month.

Shopping list

That figure includes the initial £60m cost of buying the club, at 35p a share, and the £37m spent to date on players.

Mr Abramovich´s riches have breathed new life into a moribund transfer market, with endless press speculation over which player might be next on Chelsea´s shopping list.

En tout cas Rio etait capitaine, il semble très motivé cette saison et bien décidé à montrer sa vraie valeur.

Il semblerait que Quinton ait fait un excellent match à gauche et il pourrait être utile à ce poste si Silvestre joue dans l´axe.

ils ont de l´argent mais pas d´histoire c´est pas facile pour lui . ce n´est pas la defense qui m´inquiete mais encore l´attaque il manque quelqu´un sauf si fletcher explose et qu´il est aussi talentueux qu´on le dit . sinon il y a un probleme . et par pitie veron reste

Le problème c´est pas tant l´attaque ( on a quand même Ruud, Forlan, Solskjaer, Bellion, voire Nardiello) que le poste de milieu droit. Fletcher est encore jeune, Bellion et Ole sont des attaquants à la base et Djemba un milieu def, donc une recrue ferait le plus grand bien, même si Bellion a fait bonne impression à ce poste.
