" Ronaldinho price rockets"
Ronaldinho is United´s top summer target
Paris St Germain have told Manchester United they must pay £31m if they want to sign Brazilian Ronaldinho.
United are understood to have agreed personal terms with Ronaldinho.
But the Old Trafford club were hoping to sign the forward for a fee in the region of £14m - less than half what PSG are now demanding.
The price, which would be a British record transfer fee if United were to pay, has been set by PSG president Francis Graille.
Furthermore, Graille revealed both Barcelona and Real Madrid have made offers for the player but that United have yet to make an offer.
" We still want him to stay," Graille told Le Parisien newspaper.
" But if United arrive with an offer of 45m euros ( £41m), the transfer can go very quickly,"
" Real propose 35million euros ( £24m) to have Ronaldinho in a year, and to pay a third as early as today.
" At the moment there is an offer from Real, who proposed a deal in two steps, and an offer from Barcelona, who proposed money and some players.
" There is nothing at all from Manchester."
Ronaldinho´s brother and agent Roberto Assis had earlier insisted Ronaldinho is happy with the deal to take him to Old Trafford.
Assis indicated that the World Cup-winning star had no problems with the personal terms on offer at United.
Ronaldinho fits Ferguson´s bill
Ronaldinho is under contract to PSG until 2006, and Assis said: " The most difficult thing is for the clubs ( PSG and United) to reach an agreement.
" We have no problems. Ronaldinho is calm. Whatever happens he has a good contract with PSG.
" He is currently in Brazil on holiday but he is eager to see what is going to happen regarding his transfer.
" Negotiations are still ongoing between clubs but things are going well as we had hoped for."
