Selon le quotidien local Manchester Evening News, l´attaquant français de Sunderland, David Bellion, serait sur le point de s´engager avec le club mancunien. Le joueur, formé à Cannes, avait déjà été approché par MU cet hiver.

Les négociations avaient alors été interrompues, les dirigeants de Manchester United jugeant trop élevées l´indemnité de transfert demandée par Sunderland. depuis la donne a changé puisque les Black Cats sont relégués en Division One et le contrat de Bellion arrive à expiration.

L´attaquant néerlandais Patrick Kluivert est sur le point de faire les frais de la poiltique d´austérité du FC Barcelone. Le club catalan, qui a décidé de ne plus lui verser ses primes à partir de la saison 2003, a également fixé sa clause libératoire à 1,8 million d´euros contre 36 auparavant. Arsenal et Manchester United seraient déjà sur les rangs.

Le moins que l´on puisse dire, c´est que les dirigeants du FC Barcelone ne se battent pas pour conserver leur attaquant vedette Patrick Kluivert. Soucieux de résorber une partie de leur passif, ils ont abaissé spectaculairement la clause de cession du joueur, celle-ci passant de 36 à 1,8 million d´euros. Autre mesure, la décision de ne plus verser à Kluivert des primes représentant entre 3 et 4,6 millions d´euros.

Enfin, ce mercredi, le club espagnol devrait proposer à son buteur de rester avec un salaire moindre. Si le divorce n´est pas encore consommé, de grands clubs comme MU ou Arsenal se seraient déjà mis en relation avec l´entourage du Batave

Former Manchester United star Mark Hughes could be on his way back to Old Trafford as assistant to manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
Wales boss Hughes is in line to replace new Real Madrid manager Carlos Queiroz as Ferguson´s number two.

Hughes has led Wales to the brink of next year´s European Championship finals in Portugal.

But United have reportedly been trying for more than six months to tempt him back to the Theatre of Dreams.

United are close to concluding a deal for Nantes´ Eric Djemba-Djemba and Ronaldinho is set to leave Paris St Germain for Old Trafford after the two clubs held talks on Friday.

The results of an in-depth survey into the 311 Premiership games played by United since Beckham made his debut in 1994 leave no room for doubt. With the England skipper in the side for the full 90 minutes, United won 123 out of 204 games, a success ratio of 60.3 per cent.
