Ronaldinho is set to leave PSG
Manchester United look certain to clinch the signing of Ronaldinho if they can agree a transfer fee with Paris St Germain.

The French club are prepared to sell the Brazilian to help reduce their debts and United chief executive Peter Kenyon has been in lengthy talks with PSG president Francis Graille to agree a deal.

PSG value Ronaldinho at £18m but his agent, Roberto Assis, indicated in April 2002 that he would be available for nearer £10m.

Despite the sale of David Beckham to Real Madrid for £25m, United are unlikely to raise their offer above £14m.

" "Our financial situation is delicate and Ronaldinho´s agents want him to leave," said new PSG coach Valid Halilhodzic.

" If the club receive a huge offer, considering our situation, then we will consider it.

Ronaldinho fits Ferguson´s bill

" If the finances were healthy, Ronaldinho would never leave."

Spanish outfit Barcelona were interested in signing Ronaldinho after missing out on Beckham but have ruled themselves out of the deal because of the asking price.

Real Madrid were also contenders but they are unlikely to succeed as they want to buy Ronaldinho and then loan him back to PSG for a season.

Assis has admitted talks with PSG are continuing and it appears United are now in pole position to sign the player.

" Peter Kenyon and the PSG president Frances Graille had a meeting [on Friday] to discuss the transfer and things are looking good," said Assis.

" They are going to continue talks over the next few days. There will be a completion one way or another next week."

Non ça c´est ce que veut le PSG mais en Angleterre on parle reellement de 14M£. J´y suis pour rien !

14M£ ça servirait à rien puisque ça ne rembourserait même pas la somme que l´on doit à Sportfive et il n´y aurait donc aucun intérêt de le vendre s´il ne rapporte rien !

Ben oui mais quand on voit 25M£ pour Becks ( encore sous contrat pour 2ans) on voit que les prix degringolent...

Il s´est fait plus qu´arnaquer mais il sera pas le seul quand on voit le prix auquel M.U. veut Ronnie ou le prix auquel Kluivert pourrait etre vendu ( 1.8M€!).

Kluivert c´est une clause dans son contrat, ça a rapport avec une augmentation de salaire, un truc dans le genre !

Et pour Ronnie, vous allez devoir payer le prix fort si vous le voulez, à 14M£ Paris ne le lâchera jamais, c´est sûr et certain !

14M£ ´manquerait plus que ca, hallilodzic ne lachera ronnie que si une énorme offre arrive, et pour ca, il fait tranquillement monter les enchères, il a jusqu´au 31 aout pour boucler le transfert il a le temps...

Sauf que le PSG a la DNCG qui les surveille ^^

petit complément :

le psg ne vendra pas ronnie pour 14 millions de £ par contre je suis pas sure qu´il est envie d´attendre jusqu´au 31 aôut car comme ils sont sous contrôle de la dncg pour le recrutement, il faut le vendre pour récupérer Pauleta.

Concernant Manchester, on parle beaucoup de Sébastien Frey. Et aussi d´un échange Véron contre Thuram reste plus qu´à attrapé Mexes et la défense aura un peu plus de gueule.
