Tevez wants future sorted
Argentine star not happy with United comments
Manchester United striker Carlos Tevez has risked incurring the wrath of Sir Alex Ferguson by claiming he is unhappy with how the club has handled his transfer talks.
It has been reported the two parties are some way apart with regards to agreeing personal terms and Ferguson has claimed he has 'no idea' about when Tevez's future will be resolved.
In recent days Tevez and his representatives have spoken of a desire to thrash out terms that would allow the Argentine to prolong his stay at Old Trafford.
However, in an interview on Argentinean radio, the 24-year-old has now claimed he has had no offer from United, while admitting he has been upset with some of the things that have been said since the opening of the transfer window.
"I didn't like him (Ferguson) saying I didn't like the offer I was made because neither my agent nor me were given one," the Argentina international, whose deal runs out in the summer, told Radio del Plata.
"I don't know anything on my future. United know what they must pay if they want me to stay.
"I want to stay but the club have not made any offer. I've been waiting for them for a year and a half."
Equal footing
The ongoing saga has prompted reports that Tevez, who joined United from West Ham in 2007, is a target of Real Madrid, and the forward added: "If I have to quit the club, I want to quit on good terms.
"Now all clubs are on an equal footing. If a club comes to me and offers me a five-year deal, I will accept it for peace of mind.
"I will sign my last contract, and then I figure that I'll go back to Boca (Juniors).
"That could be in four or five years.
"I want everybody to know no offer has been made. I don't like that they are playing with our fans, who show their love to me in each match.
Merci Gaychon =)
De rien King

Fergie starts title mind games
United boss expects rivals to make mistakes
Ferguson: Knows what is required
Sir Alex Ferguson hopes Liverpool's lack of title-winning experience in recent years will hinder them this season.
The Manchester United boss has led his side to back-to-back Premier League crowns in the last two years, an achievement which has taken his impressive haul to 10 in total.
The Scot believes regularly challenging for silverware will put his side in good stead once again this term, with the Red Devils currently looking to bridge the seven-point gap which separates them from league leaders Liverpool.
With two games in hand that deficit could be cut to just a solitary point, and Ferguson believes nerves could then start to get the better of their Anfield rivals.
"There's no doubt that in the second half of the season they will get nervous," he said.
"With the experience we've got, having won a couple of titles in the past couple of years especially, it helps you. There's no doubt about that.
"They're going into the unknown, and if you make mistakes, then you are punished."
Liverpool have not taken the title since 1990 and would see United equal their record of 18 top-flight crowns should they surrender their lead at the summit this season.
Football Angleterre: Ruud Gullit encense Louis Saha
15/09/2006 - 19:34

Tevez: No bad blood between me and Fergie
Carlos Tevez is adamant his future at Manchester United is salvageable, insisting he has a ‘good professional relationship’ with Sir Alex Ferguson.
Tevez appeared to have talked his way out of Old Trafford on Monday night, revealing Ferguson had lied about a contract offer, before going on to say he would consider offers from elsewhere.
The bullish Argentinian has been the fall-guy of United’s awesome foursome this season, regularly being left on the bench as Ferguson opts for Rooney, Ronaldo and Berbatov.
Tevez insists he would love to stay and, as he prepares to sign his ‘last deal’ before returning to South America, the little striker insists his relationship with the United manager remains on good terms.
“I want to say that I haven’t fallen out with the manager. We have a good professional relationship,” Tevez said in The Sun.
“It’s being suggested I’m creating a bad atmosphere but it’s just not true. There is no craziness on my part, as people seem to be saying.
“I haven’t asked for what Ronaldo gets or what Rooney gets. I have never discussed this ever with either the manager, Alex Ferguson, or anyone on the United board.
“The fans need to know this because I respect them so much. I love them and they love me. I don’t want anything to come between us.
“The club has always said they would offer me a deal but they haven’t. How can I reject an offer I’ve never had?
“The fans have to understand what is going on. I haven’t said I don’t want to stay, it’s the club who haven’t said they want to keep me.
“I admit I’m surprised United haven’t done anything because I thought I was important to them. I was second-top goalscorer last season when we won the Champions League and The Premier League and I think I did everything possible.
“But I wasn’t a priority to them in the summer and now I’m not a priority in January either.”
Lyon insist they will not sell their 20-year-old France international striker Karim Benzema, despite speculation linking him with a move to Manchester United.
