Ronaldinho fier d´aller à M.U.

Le Champion du monde brésilien Ronaldinho a affirmé qu´il serait «très fier» de rejoindre Manchester United en cas d´accord entre MU et son club actuel du Paris-SG ( L1), dimanche dans le journal écossais Sunday Herald.

" Si le PSG et ( Manchester) United parviennent à un accord, et si tout le monde en est satisfait, je serais très fier de venir" à MU, a expliqué Ronaldinho, présenté par la presse britannique comme la priorité de Manchester United et de son manageur Alex Ferguson en matière de recrutement.

" Je ne peux pas en dire plus. Premièrement, car rien n´a été conclu et, deuxièmement, car je suis toujours un joueur du Paris-SG et j´ai encore trois ans de contrat" a-t-il néanmoins souligné

" Notre saison n´est pas terminée et je veux respecter le club, mes coéquipiers et les supporteurs" du PSG, a ajouté Ronaldinho.

" La plupart des Brésiliens préfèrent la Liga ou la Serie A ( respectivement les Championnats d´Espagne et d´Italie, ndlr), mais je pense que la Premier League est le meilleur Championnat d´Europe", a-t-il estimé. " Le football anglais dispose d´un état d´esprit, d´une passion qui est unique".

Il y a un profond sentiment d´osmose, d´identification avec les supporteurs, une pureté dans le jeu,» a poursuivi le Brésilien de 23 ans. Ronaldinho, une des vedettes du Mondial-2002, a ainsi révélé qu´il préférait " plutôt regarder jouer Manchester United que le Real Madrid".

" Je mentirais si j´affirmais qu´évoluer dans le football anglais ne fait pas partie de mes ambitions", a donc affirmé l´attaquant brésilien, pour qui jouer à MU ne représente " pas seulement un rêve» mais «une réelle opportunité".

Sport of the World has learned that Fergie was in the Stade de France last weekend to watch Roma help Monaco beat Sochaux 4-1 in the French League Cup final. And on Tuesday, he sent United goalkeeping coach Tony Coton to watch Roma play against Guingamp in the French First Division. Arsenal, who had a £4m bid for Roma knocked back during the January transfer window, also had a representative at the Guingamp match. Roma said: " I am aware that both Manchester United and Arsenal are interested in me. Ruud van Nistelrooy has called on Sir Alex Ferguson to extend his stay at Manchester United.
The prolific Dutch marksman, who scored 25 Premiership goals in United´s surge to the title, is keen to see Ferguson remain in charge at Old Trafford.

Ferguson signed Van Nistelrooy for £18.5m from PSV Eindhoven after waiting a year for him to recover from a serious knee injury.

Speculation now suggests Ferguson could extend the three-year contract he signed at the end of last season after reversing his decision to retire.

United chief executive Peter Kenyon has already indicated the club would be willing to sanction such a move for the 61-year-old Scot.

And if he does sign a new deal, no-one would be more delighted than Van Nistelrooy, who is predicting a future ladened with success for the Red Devils.

" The manager will never lose his hunger and I think he will stay here for a long time," Van Nistelrooy told MUTV.

" He has been fantastic for this club and has won so many trophies with them.

" I am very grateful for what he did for me and to Manchester United for keeping their trust in me.

" It is fantastic to work with him and if we can all play at our top level we have some great years ahead of us."

Ferguson is already plotting for next season as United look to win the Champions League.

Brazilian star Ronaldinho, Leeds winger Harry Kewell and American goalkeeper Tim Howard have already been listed as possible summer signings, with a central defender and another goalkeeper also lined up.

" We have proved this season we can take on the best and win," said Van Nistelrooy.

" We have beaten Juventus twice and won against Real Madrid and Deportivo La Coruna.

" We now have to take that last step and improve a little bit more. The hardest bit is to go all the way and win the final.

" However, with the age and quality in the squad and the experienced we have gained over the last few years we can do better. If it all comes together for us we are capable of winning it."
