Mikael Silvestre will have stunned boss Alex Ferguson by insisting: We won´t catch Arsenal.
The Manchester United defender helped Fergie´s troops beat Aston Villa 1-0 on Saturday to leave them two points behind the Gunners - who crashed 2-0 at Blackburn - in the Premiership title race. But Frenchman Silvestre, 25, said: "These results are not a turning point. We are not really expecting Arsenal to slip up again this season. We have eight league matches left to play and our remaining matches are tougher than theirs. However, the title race has been revived and English bookies will devote themselves to it to their heart´s content." Silvestre twisted an ankle against Villa - and will miss the Champions League trip to Deportivo tomorrow.
