Last week Kluivert equalled Dennis Bergkamp´s record of 37 goals for Holland in a 1-1 draw with Euro 2004 hosts Portugal in an international friendly in Eindhoven.
" I have heard Patrick is coming to Manchester United - and I will be waiting there to welcome him to Old Trafford with open arms," Van Nistelrooy was quoted as saying in the News of the World newspaper.
" He is the greatest attacking talent in Europe. So far we´ve only played 18 internationals together but when we play together and train together every day, we will become even better."
Barcelona have endured a miserable season in La Liga and are struggling to qualify for the Uefa Cup, while Manchester United are already guaranteed a place in the Champions League.

Kluivert has also been a target of criticism from the Barcelona fans.
